Fabulous message. But please just double check your facts. The message is awesome but these men were poor fishermen and would have been illiterate with no chance of learning to memorize scripture. If I'm wrong, let me know.

That's exactly what she's saying... the poor fishermen wouldn't have been to memorize scripture, so they wouldn't have been able to follow a Teacher, or Rabbi. You both have the same facts!

The Bible teaches that the Word of God was inspired by the Holy Spirit. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John wrote the first 4 books of the New Testament, respectively. Peter wrote 1 & 2 Peter, John also wrote 1,2 &3 John, as well as Revelation. James and Jude were written by Jesus’s half brothers. Luke and Paul are credited with writing the other books. It is Jewish tradition that all boys (not females) were and are taught the first 5 books of the Bible, which is called the Pentateuch, beginning no later than 5 years old. If you research Jewish tradition during the times of Christ, you can verify this yourself. They were far from illiterate. And their works were inspired by the Holy Spirit.
