Jacob Lusk has an astonishing voice although there are tonal qualities that aren't bad as such It's that I just don't like them. That's a purely subjective response of mine, and not intended as an objective criticism of Jacob's voice. I also feel that he hugely overdoes the runs and embellishments. Apparently Gospel singing has gone in that direction since the days of the great Mahalia Jackson and Sister Rosetta Tharpe, so he was probably brought up on thon highly ornate style of singing.
