Well done. I once worked as activities coordinator at an alzheimer's home. Sang this song every day I worked there. It was hell for me but, you know, they didn't realize it was so over-played.

Many thanks for the vid. Great energy teaching - so important. I have had his fantastic live-Rediscovered version on my playlist for years. The guitar may be a little flat and he seems a little tired, maybe late in the set - but it is an absolute 2 minute acoustic solo guitar masterpiece. Your teaching of his playing with soul and not over worrying technique is right on - on all his playing.

DaHill, thanks for the lovely comment. I really appreciate that man. And yes, Hurt is a gem. I'm trying my best to do these songs justice by bringing yall the most accurate tabs, and figuring these things out to the best of my ability while keeping the tutorials fun, light, and digestible without watering anything down! lmk how else I can help. Raphi! Thanks, man. Please sub, like share and consider monthly support so I can make more of these! In the meantime...what's hard about bars? The wrist hurt? fingers? How's the action on your guitar? How long ya been playing?
@raphilesacher48553 жыл бұрын
@@MikesMusicMethod I'm teaching myself for I think little under 4 years now but I did not find a lot of time for playing guitar in the past year. But the main problem with bars is getting there fast and fret all strings properly. The action on my guitar is I think pretty standard for a western guitar, but I never touched anything because it's not as easy as on an electric to set the action. :)

Keep the requests coming, but I've gotta admit I dont care for the song. It sounds like a I IV V in the key of B with a lot of 7ths. So I'd say play B E F#, and try some of them as 7th chords. It's not really travis picked and he's just kind of winging it with the thumb and other fingers.
