When I was an HGV driver we all got this shit: 1st- a bossy little jobsworth at security who thought he was in charge of the world - 'cos he had a jacket. 2nd. An awkward loader or forklift driver who also thought the world revolved round him. He also had a jacket. 3rd. A shift manager or booking clerk who did everything to delay you and piss you off in whatever way they could, and if you said anything to upset them they would threaten to phone your boss and get you banned from the site -for being 'awkward'! They had a computer as well as a jacket. I did that job for forty odd years and only stuck it because jobs were hard to find. I was glad to see the back of it. A HGV driver is the subject of every petty little shit-bag's frustrations - and they know you can do fk all about it. They get off on it. An auditor can answer back - and they don't like it one fkg bit!

I know exactly where you’re coming from.. been driving Hgv class ones since 2009.. a lot of places especially DHL sites are full of grumpy jobworths, transport team and admin look and treat drivers like sh*t on their shoe.. I regularly give them back as good as I get, as hopefully that’ll teach them not to talk to others in such a way

The new SIA exams since October 2022 sets out auditors, drones, and GDPR. So these SIA person should know all about you are allowed to video and photo on public land, and fly drones over private land. The basic level one cyan striped Security SIA card, three day course is useless, only orange striped DS and CProt now get the training. Also the new SIA purple stripe CCTV id card covers this too.

Great video and the education of common sense continues. 👍⭐⭐⭐ XPO Logistics (now the GXO spinoff) got the logistics contract in 2017 to manage the Premier Foods warehouse, 650,000 ft2. At the time XPO estimated 170 employees, 70 trucks and 200 trailers. Warehouse refurbishment and expansion completed early 2018 and previous tenant was Focus Tamworth Distribution Centre (diy stores) which closed in 2011, Wincanton was logistics contractor. Planning applications would likely include details on the expansion, reports, and general floor plans. Street view also shows Hermes as interim tenant 2014 and 2015, also letting signage 2015.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it at least twice that the ignorance of security is the fault of the employers that don’t train them. DJ is there any way you can audit the HQ’s of security companies? Ask a bunch of awkward questions of managerial staff about how they train staff and how clearly they maximise profits by failing to do so.
