Well not everyone is lucky to have ppl around. I'm a single mom of 4 and no one comes to help me. I'm fighting it out alone. When we had to move this last summer it was only me and my 4 kids. My oldest being 14 and carrying furniture up the stairs. Because no one could or wanted to help. Not my parents and none of my friends. I was all alone. So I am a little hurt. Because I did ask for help and no one came to help. They all came up with excuses like "Oh my back", or "I have to work" or "I don't have time" Have been praying for true Christian friends (I'm the only Christian in my family) for a while and God has not answered that prayer for a long time. It's just me and my 4 kids. We are all ALONE!

I had just finished listening to this message, Life Church is on my listening rotation for the week, I physically attend a church in my current city of El Paso, but I sometimes scroll comments and see who else was impacted by the message. So here I am, commenting on yours, because I feel that it's important to encourage you. I hope you get to read this. I want to tell you that God does answer prayers for connection, community and fellowship. While I can't imagine doing my parenting solo as you are, I have three kids, 10 and under, and am part of a military family that is currently 2000 miles away from my home state, lived in a new place for 8 years slowly and painfully trying to connect with others, and now we are facing another move that will take us across an ocean for 3 years. I understand loneliness and a deep desire to connect and feeling rejected by others' excuses to not be involved. I have also found that in my most uncomfortable moments, God provided two dear friends, one a mentor and another a single mom, and that my little ragtag troop of community may not meet up weekly, but I have support. I do not say that to discourage you. Pray for opportunities to go to places where there will be that type of friendship. The first friend I made here was by showing up to a community group in my church that was closest to my home. I had never met this woman before. She's been my best friend for 7 years now. There was a gap from moving to meeting her- over a year. But I had to go places and put myself out there, even if it meant rejection. Please do not forsake church, find a church home for you and your kids. If you can't get involved in a small group, ask to host one. It's uncomfortable. It's growth. But God works best when we get out of our comfort and rely on His strength. The second friend I made was by hosting a women's group in my home. I didn't want to, but I felt God asking me to. And He provided in season that which I needed. He will do the same for you. Friend, I do not know you. I am probably hundreds of miles from you. But I am praying for you. For those church, for your circle, for you to be found in community and for your children to have good, healthy relationships with other believers kids. There will still be rejections and people who give you lip service, but please press on. Pray on, fight on, and lean into God for his guidance and support. God always delivers on His promises. You are loved and seen, friend.

Hey jazz is that might suck that ppl might make assumptions etc and many times we Christian’s are good at saying and bad at doing however there are people who will be willing to help you and hang out with you and listen to you I prayed to God and I think he gave them to me I’m also not sure it’s a journey and if you are in Christ Jesus then it’s a beautiful one not an easy one but it leads to him keep holdin on Jesus remember psalm 30.5 His favour is for a lifetime God bless❤❤❤

That is a great question. People disappear when they know you are down. Only those who have been there understand.

I struggle with this also. Not sure if there is a easy answer. What has helped me in is reading Gods truth and seeking out Christian groups at church that share the brokenness. (Example: drug addiction, divorce, etc) We are all broken and if you cant find a group. I am positive if you took the leap of faith and created one. You would be surprised of the people wanting to join. We all long for relationship and sharing in struggles.
