Palermo is close to the U.S. Embassy. So, my spouse and I have stayed in the area a few times. We recommend that you go to Mar Del Plata. And I am shocked that you have not been to one of the world’s largest falls in Argentina! It is called Iguazu Falls. It is a mega tourist destination. It encompasses three countries, Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. You can enter the park from only two of the countries, Argentina and Brazil.

I was there for two weeks in 2019 on a special mission. A great uncle of mine had died in Cordoba, a medical exile in 1929 when he was just 26. I had gone to Argentina to trace his grave. Most of my time was in BA though. I had a very neat and comfortable Air BnB and enjoyed the city very much. Mind you, I was surprised that though the language is Spanish, the sensibility of the people is more akin to Italy which, historically, has been Argentina's largest source of migrants. A disappointment, perhaps, was that I was in a very middle class part of the city - too many generic pizza places with craft beer like I could get anywhere in the world. Not wanting to be some 'Lonely Planet' trendy, I would however have wanted more contact with the Barrio and the Gente. Problem is, it is a very big city and it would take months to scout the right places, so I had to stick to a certain comfort zone. Having said that, I really enjoyed my time, and the people were always very friendly and talkative. Thank you for your video, boys! (Oh, and yes, the currency was a problem. I could only get a small amount to bring into the country and though there was no shortage of banks and ATMs, the amount I was able to draw each time was very limiting.)
