That said, 5 crore is indeed a respectable target. After reaching this milestone, I find myself able to continue working in a far more relaxed and enjoyable way, free from financial stress.

Until 3 years ago nobody bothered about retirement income of 5cr..😅😅 But today also family of 4 is living happily with monthly 50k expenses. In Mumbai.. 20 years down the line you can double that to 1lak..but now only father and mother has expense because children are working n independent.. So for old parents who only ear 2 meals a day.. Just dal chawal and once a week may be fish.. They don't need 5cr 😅😅😅.. All they have to do is have good health insurance.

One question, why all financial influencers say to not consider primary real estate as an asset / network? Post 60, you can put your real estate on reverse mortgage to the bank right?

Health insurance for entire family, Term insurance for the working person of the family, Have emergency fund of 12 lakh, 5 crore Corpus is definitely sufficient when your expenses are less than 1 lakh per month. The only thing is stay humble, Don't purchase expensive thing which will destroy wealth. Stating Invested in mutual fund for 25 years make the investment more than 50 times.
