Yesterday I was disassembling an old laptop to fix it and when I was putting it back together I noticed an important piece was missing. I searched for at least half an hour around the house, even under the furniture. Eventually I said "I'm not giving this any more of my energy." Hours later when I went to bed and completely forgot about it, I felt something was glued to my arm: it was the missing piece. I witness stuff like this pretty frequently. It's not possible anymore to convince me something isn't messing with our lives and emotions.
