I couldn't even finish the video. My older brother had DS and was the greatest person I have ever known! I got in fights with people that would be cruel towards him. We were so close, our friends and family joked that we were twins! He wowed people with his talents. Any tech, especially games, he would master in a day. He was great with music and even introduced me to some of my favorite bands and artists. I could go on forever about his amazing personality and how he never let you leave without a smile and was a true gentleman. But above all, he was the greatest big brother I could have ever hoped for. Sorry for ranting. It just hurts me to see someone treat another person badly. Especially if it reminds me of the brother I lost. (He was killed by our dad at 16.) R.I.P. Patrick, my big bubba My dad did it over money. He never cared about us and when he got ahold of a new income, he didn't want to deal with my brother anymore. So instead of letting us go to our mom, he killed him. And our dad is dead now, a few years ago. His drug habit got him in the end. Thank you all for the kind words. I just don't want anyone miss a chance to know a great person because they thought their disability held them back. Everyone that didn't judge my brother found how he was sweet and charming. He was intelligent, 162 IQ. But my favorite was if someone was unhappy, he would stay with you and talk and make sure you smiled before he would leave. He was my role model. I hope you all get to know that kind of person. 💜

In school I had a really really really good friend named Emily French. She was the best friend anyone could ask for. Just a beautiful soul. I walked her to class and she also joined the swim team with me and I would walk along the pool while she raced and would encourage her. Every single day she would give me the biggest hug and the most beautiful smile. She would also leave me notes and it always started with numbers 😊. She had Down syndrome and was the best friend anyone could ask for. She didn’t care if I was ugly, smelled bad, poor or rich. She wanted nothing but a friendship. I always think about her and tell my kids about her. I’ve always loved people and I care so much about people and I try my best to show everyone the same kindness. Embarrassing enough, I sometimes cry at the thought of how many people are suffering. It just breaks my heart and I wish I could help everyone. People with Down syndrome are the most pure and beautiful, kindhearted People you’ll ever meet. Please don’t ever look at someone as if your better. You’re not. We’re all the same and experience the same feelings and the same struggles in the same world. Some more then others but we’re the SAME. Don’t let image get in the way nor pride.those things are no good and do no good. Love is a very very powerful thing and it’s something we’re all capable of. My kids have my heart and they show the same kindness I do to others and that makes me proud. I tell them all the time that nobody is better then you and your not better then anyone, we’re all the same. And they help finish that sentence by saying “same” at the end. Please be kind. Oh I also use to fight non stop and really enjoyed it. I in fact use violence to cope with my issues. People change so don’t hold anything against anyone. There is a reason why a person is a certain way but one day they’ll find their way and realize their wrong doings and hopefully change.

nikhil chaudhari prison is not being rude. It's a punishment. It's you that needs to "think". When people commit crimes, such as you described, they are no longer viewed as people of the community. They are then treated as an animal, thusly caged.

There’s a grocery store here in my town where they let teens from the special needs school work there for a day (and they also earn an awesome field trip to somewhere fun for the work!). They actually are better at the job than most the ‘normal’ people who work there! They get so excited to help people and say hi to everyone. They are such amazing kids :)

Sad knowing what this lady did in this show really happens in real life. Ppl need to watch how they treat others because too many ppl especially kids harm them selves these days over being bullied. Stick up for those that are not able to do so it will make a huge difference in they life knowing there's ppl that care. I love everyone no matter how different you are as long as you are a good person. Treat ppl how you would want to be treated or your family members! Care for one another🤗

Caden's MoM It's sadly parent's fault. If they taught their children that there are other kids who act and look different than us and it's completely normal and that it's not a reason to treat them differently or see them differently everything would be more okay. But it's sad that's not the case and there's cruel kids out there who are bigoted.

It was a girl, not a guy, by the way. But yeah, we should all be equal regardless of skin color, culture, gender identification, body identification, sexual orientation, mental/physical disabilities, and whatever else makes us all the unique individuals that we are. The only thing I ever judge, are other people's attitudes and opinions that oppose the message of equality.
