Sad fact is, its all algorithms. Negative videos get promoted. Positive ones don't. People only watch the negative ones and then complain you don't have positive things to say. I have the exact same issue. Never ends.

Around 2:05 Your videos are really helpful at defending a negative criticism, So a while back there was a short on some channel talking about ss86 Ironhide, and how it was perfect, so I put a comment saying the many flaws of the figure, and some 4 year old sounding kid said “no one is going to agree with you” so then I sent him a link to your video, and he never responded again. I’ve come to appreciate the savings I get when collecting these, I started my collection when buying all of the figures from kingdom and legacy that belonged to beast wars, and it’s been a great help knowing what figures are worth it when trying to build up my g1 character collection…I decided to go with seige because of you and went with that Optimus. I even opted for the origin bumblebee buzzworthy bumblebee figure too. I did get the blitzwing even after seeing your review and I think knowing what was bad about it before getting it made me appreciate it more. I’ve come to appreciate the honesty, because of that I watch less of prime vs prime, jobby, and baltmatrix and pretty much just go to your channel.

And this is why I like your TF content, I appreciate your honesty on the things you don't like on certain aspects. Such as pointing out flaws on good figures, media, etc. You stood out the most because the majority of TF reviews and media are overwhelmingly positive and less on the negatives. Some do bring good points, but some were just flat-out bias and baseless (no offense), which is why I find your reviews very interesting to make my decision if I should buy the figure or not. Your honesty is a breath of fresh air and it feels absolutely necessary; straight to the point and objective. I like that. There were some that are out-of-line but still, understandable. I'm just glad you're being honest to yourself and not just singing praises like a commercial like some other TF reviews out there. Not only that, your "Earthrise is a bad toyline" broke me out of the annoying Geewunner phase I used to have before I branched out and appreciated every TF media that isn't just plain and boring (sorrynotsorry) G1.

Tbf, I think there were a lot more mixed than you claimed to have. The beachcomber and brawn video, prowl and crashbar, and Volvo prime were all mixed at least to me because while you did give lots of props to the pros, you did also go way deep in the cons. You said you hated the beachcomber and that the potp one was better and did a whole comparison and everything. You also said that prowl you hate his chin face and his bike mode. And you said that there were little issues about Volvo prime like the legs and the shoulder ratio. So while there still are more positives, there were also more mixed

I love Prime, but see it’s ups and downs. I think the second season and maybe the third are some of my favourite entertainment of all time. You are just honest about your opinions, and I appreciate that in a reviewer. Me too, I know it ain’t a perfect show and it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I can still enjoy it. And sure I’ll disagree with someone when they don’t like it but I won’t try and argue, EVERYONE has their own opinions and those (usually) can’t be changed. One person will love something someone else loathes and that’s okay, so long as they aren’t trying to force it down my throat that my opinion is wrong and theirs is right I can still enjoy a video about people tearing the things I love to shreds.

It's like a metaphor for human behaviour: People tend to take their blessings for granted and forget them too easily, yet they overreact to petty misfortunes and remember them longer than they should. Okay PE, I would like to point out something. Using Emgo as an example, you can tell that the guy loves transformers. But 99% of his reviews are, "I LOVE THIS THING." Therefore I cannot take his recommendations seriously! Because he recommends literally everything! Heck he even recommended the Toyworld stuff, but you know that I know that we know what happens to Toyworld products. Thats why I would go listen to a critical review telling me all the bad points, then listen to a positive review like Emgo, where he is in no way benefitting from having his sponsors getting more sales, right, right? Right? Also I am a sick twisted individual that loves seeing things get roasted. Fact: It's fun to watch something get roasted, as long as that something isn't you.

The rough balance of praising and or bashing a company for its figure making decisions is good if everyone just sugarcoats reviews then it’s hard to get a good idea of that figure is good or not to get. It’s probably a 55/45 or 60/40 favouring positive, the negativity comes across as more criticism or harsh criticism and not malicious spite most of the time which is nice to have

It may come off as only negativity but really it’s just that with most figures, even with positive figures, you’ll still bring attention to the figure’s problems, even if it’s just a QC thing, which you do tend to say that it could be a copy issue, and then you’ll go of on any of the figures that are straight garbage. A number of reviewers won’t do that.

@@PerspectiveEnd yup yup! With prime, I enjoyed first three(?) episodes that did the opening arc. Saw the rest of the season didn’t really fit my quota and turned it and the second season into background noise while I did other things. Enjoyed the rest of the series enough to go buy them when they came out on dvd. Differences are awesome! Prime example (heh prime) you liked the unicron trilogy. I wasn’t much of a fan of it except for armada’s toys. But I still enjoy hearing what people do enjoy because it gives me a different…perspective…that I can describe the series when I tell people about the different versions of transformers. And that’s why your awesome just like the other reviewers. You guys always give your thoughts about the subject. People need to realize that at the end of the day…it’s your thoughts, not theirs. They just need to go out and watch or try what you reviewed. Maybe they see something different…maybe not. But they don’t need to get on you for what you may or may not like. Have you considered getting/reviewing the buzzworthy troop builder pack? You could make a mini WTB out of it, and compare them to their originals (the g2 cybertrooper is soooo much better than Skullgrin, with the swords being stiffer and the head not being crap). I'm considering taking the white Iron Hide they're trying to pass off as an animated autotrooper and modding it into my own siege Wheeljack like yours. As for this video, I don't think I've ever considered you an overly negative reviewer, just strict. You've seen them do great, and you want to hold them to a standard

You're not negative your honest and that matters most and makes you one of the best reviewers at this point.,If a figure is bad or is plagued with QC issues you tell it how it is.Most reviewers will say that almost every figure is great like they're trying to sell a car or they're being paid by Hasbro.(I mean how do some of these guys get figures so early)I know they're released a little earlier in places like Singapore and Australia but I've seen figures reviewed 3-4 months before they MIGHT hit shelves in the US.

Hi PE, you didn't respond to this part. TF Prime had a good backstory regarding Orion Pax, told from the point of view of Ratchet. But it never goes anywhere, and it is not even used as a plot device. What a wasted opportunity. One thing I like about Prime was Megatron's design. APC toys megatron was really a looker, and I hope to get that someday. His vehicle mode is complete joke though.

I wanted to say this in the Prime review but i will say it here, i recommend Paperplane's video about Prime's behind the scenes drama if you don't know it allready. When Hasbro orderd the 26 episode first season of prime the animation studio said that it will take 2 years to complete and this was way to long for Hasbro and the first season ended up being animated in 10 months wich might be why the animation isn't as good as it could. And with Earth spark it was a similar story, but instead of rushing out the door the 26 episodes the studio took the time neded, this is why it was such a content drought in 2021-2022, in 2021 we got the last season of WFC and Cyberverse got a short 4th season to buy time until earthspark was finished, and earth spark came out near the end of 2022

I will admit, when I started watching your videos, they were on the negative side. But over time, the more I stuck around (because even with your negative views from what I was seeing, I just had fun watching your stuff and listening to your views on Transformers), the more likely I came across videos of yours that were positive. So, this gave me the impression on you that you're a guy who has as many posivite videos as negative. But, your Legacy Deadend review was the peak of your Transformers reviews to me, where you had mostly negative things to say about the figure, but you weren't negative all the way through. Hell, you even gave credit where it was due. Then your Studio Series Bumblebee Movie videos gave me more of a positive aspect of yourself that I knew you had (and others *might* not have known). And from there, you became one of the most entertaining Transformers reviewers on KZbin to me, and among my favorite youtubers. Seriously dude, you just keep going and making videos for your viewers, no matter what people think of you or your views on Transformers (even if I myself don't agree with everything you say). I unironically think you got more backlash giving your brief opinion on Cryotek compared to Transformers Prime lol related to that, your videos are good to listen to on occasion it just might be for some you are pretty focused on some very specific details about things that others find really trivial which stands out compared to critique that's been there done that Was rewatching your Studio Series 86 Ironhide review after having fun with that figure myself and a lot of your notes came down to "It looks good enough but there's a lot of design elements that are inaccurate enough to take notice". And I know you meant the critique only for Studio Series toys since they're branded as "accurate to the onscreen design", but I do feel like its bled into the reviews of other toys given how most of Generations sublines are aiming for some kind of accuracy. Its not a bad thing to care about specific details and I'm sure many others do but most people just settle for "good enough" I think its odd people single you out as a sour spot of the TF community. Maybe because I've been lurking other TF related forums where lots of people get heated over the small things. Like Soundwave keeping his tape deck chest or who's the "real" voice of Optimus Prime or beating the dead horse that is the Michael Bay movies. Also feel like other reviewers like Lazy Eyebrow and That Toy Guy can get pretty critical of figures, I remember when TJOmega did Plastic Addict and also when baltmatrix and optibotimus destroyed some figures on camera (although those were some one off occassions). I'm like 90% certain third party upgrade kits and figures exist because most people wish the official figures were "better", and the Transformers wiki has a page about things that "ruined Transformers forever" for a reason. yea ok i might've lost the plot there for a bit, just keep doing what you're doing

Yeah no you are right. That Crytek thing was quite nasty. I do understand that I will make some criticisms that others find trivial, but at the same time I am also trying to tell you things you haven't heard before, because I don't expect to be the only review you've seen. So I can either tell you what someone else did, or I can give you a fuller picture of the figure. And you are right, good enough is good enough, but I would say that more accurate is a quality that can be a deal maker or breaker for some people so it should be covered in depth, to an extent. I do think it's a little weird that I am singled out, because I have seen other reviews by people and been like "Well this is unreasonably negative", even if the are usually positive reviewers, so I don't get why I'm the guy with the stink of it on me. And thank you I will.
