Moonlight, just before Christmas last year I walked away from a man I care about because we were not on the same page, and I knew I deserve a man who is 100% sure of my place in his life. I literally told him "you aren't choosing me, so I decided to choose myself and my self respect". It's been hard, and I miss him, but I am proud that for the first time in my life I made my relationship needs a priority. I haven't talked to him in nearly 8 months, and I won't be reaching out. He knows how to reach me, but I told him that if he came back he would have to show up a lot differently. In the meantime, I am getting out, meeting new people and dating new men.
