Anne Francis played Honey West on the tv ABC series, she wasn't 38-24-36 though! Saw Ronny doing stand up on Johnny Carsons show in the early 80s, he also was a lead on a short lived "Good Morning World" tv series, which was also the tv debut of Goldie Hawn Thank you for sharing this, I enjoyed it.

Ronnie did a TON of TV including as Jim Nabors best friend on Gomer Pyle. Anne Francis as Honey West on TV was my very first crush after Annette Funicello. She had a sexy beauty mark - now days if you wear a beauty mark people rush you to a skin doctor for biopsy.

Ronnie Schell said his b-day was 2 weeks ago. Since he was born on Dec 23rd, this episode was probably taped between January 5th & 7th.

Ironic that the creators of Honey West would share the show with Ronnie Schell from "Gomer Pyle, USMC", the show whose popularity resulted in the cancellation of "Honey West" after one season.

Good grief! It's so weird to think of ladies form the 50s as being this stunning. Both of these are heartbreakers. I was around when this aired, but I was only 3. I didn't think ladies became stunning until the early 1970s.

Anyone who's familiar with "Gomer Pyle, USMC" knows when Ronald (Ronny) Schell reached the pinnacle of his fame. But I'm more interested in those who did not go into the world of showbiz--such as Phyllis Warren. She is an extremely beautiful young woman in this clip. And, although I realize she'd be in her '70s by now, I'm curious to know whether anyone is aware of what's become of her. Does anybody have a clue?

You heard of Cheech and Chong, it's a bit like that. Here's the joke - There was these two stoners getting high in a 12th floor apartment, when one of them dived out of the window. The other called the cops (pretty unlikely) and the cop said, 'Why didn't you stop him?' the stoned guy replied 'Whoa, man, I thought he was going to make it OK!'.

@@Frank_Nemo That or it's a play on the slang word "cat" and cats always land on their feet. But that's a stretch I guess.

not exactly a setup but @ 6:53 the secret word would have been said no matter what if they got to that question and got it right, only way they wouldn't have had that question is if they got 4 in a row right out of the gate
@grouchomarx-youbetyourlife7476
@grouchomarx-youbetyourlife7476 10 жыл бұрын
This was probably not an example of a setup-- the questions were only seen by a very few people on the staff. But they did rig the secret word from time to time when they really liked a contestant. When they did this, they made sure to pick a word that they knew would come up in the interview, not in the quiz (which would have-- as you noted-- required the contestants to answer the questions correctly. Just a coincidence here.) An example of rigging would be when they'd choose the secret word "name", and Groucho would ask a contestant what the origin of his/her name was. There's almost no way to answer that kind of question without using the word "name" in response ("It's a Scottish name. . . ", e.g.). Or they might know a contestant was going to tell a story involving a foot, and choose the secret word "foot" as a result. That sort of thing.
