Flo’s clear voice, precise and concise teaching is a breath of fresh air for a newby to digital art like me. Had to do it the globe twice because I messed up the shadow window and didn’t realise I didn’t like it until after I merged everything and couldn’t go back as far. Turned it into a still pic though. Learned a lot in this tutorial and, in particular, how to shade to get bright shiny gold... and of, course animation. I am quite pleased with the result. I will return to that golden ball that ended up looking like a big glob of browns, black and white and try again to make it look like a proper golden ball. This video was the one that finally persuaded me to support Flo’s Patreon. Thank you Flo and keep ‘em coming! 🙏🏽👌🏽👏🏽❤️

I absolutely love watching and following along with you! This was a lot of fun! With the animation though, the latest version of Procreate allows us to set the top layer to be the foreground and the bottom layer to be the background that don't get animated, so now instead of duplicating everything as multiple groups of layers, you can put your globe as the foreground and everything inside the globe as the background, and then animate the snow on separate layers between them. It saves a lot of memory!

great tutorial, thank you so much! I did a little diffrent: - erased the part of the grey circle which is behind the snow we see from the underside of the globe, where no snow falls - painted the snow on the whole canvas - duplicated the group - selected the grey area (former circle) and masked the snow - moved the snow in the second group, duplicated the group and again, select the grey area, mask the snowlayer - when the snow at the top of the globe is missing, add new snow - repeat for as many frames you want

Hi Flo, Your videos are very creative and fun to watch. Also to paint along 🎨 I like to see in your videos that some things can be done more effective and non destructive. This makes using Procreate also more fun. Specially making an animation. By copying specific parts of the canvas by showing/hiding layers, which merges layers into the copy, and past into a new drawing with the same dimensions, gives more available layers to work with. Also setting the first and last layer as the background and foreground, is more effective. I understand that you may want to keep these videos up to a certain level, but it is also fun to learn new things 🤗 Lot’s of greetings, Dennis 🇳🇱

I missed how you adjusted the Colourdrop Threshold, all I saw was you sliding your pen left/right but didn't see how you made that option appear. The weird line around the edge when using colour drop had been annoying me, so I'd love to learn how to make it disappear! Hi Flo... these tutorials are amazing, I'm working on this beautiful snow globe. I am having trouble with a certain part. At 17:06 you add the gray color to the globe. I have tried that about 4 times and it makes the whole page gray except for the outline of the globe and base. I'm not sure what I did wrong, i went back to the beginning to see if I missed a step, and I don't think that I have. Can anyone help me get through this part? Thanks

So I may have one way so try closing it in on the bottom the good thing and control the pressure so when you go to fill it in try keeping the circle on the circle and controlling the pressure u may have it at 100 hope this works

Among all the tips and tricks to draw a vase / glass / globe, no doubt this one is my favorite. So glad I watch this tutorial 💚. How brilliant it is! 🥰 Thank you Flo 🤩 About the animation: is there a reason why you choose (I mean other than the fact that it's your choice 😉) not to background a first group (the globe layer + its content layer) and work the animation frames with only gray reference disc layer + snow layer groups ? I am really enjoying your tutorials! I made this, and it's so adorable. I had a few glitches but that's a user error, not a teacher error! I have made 5 frames to animate, and when I tried to export to IG it said it needed to be 3 seconds. I saved it to my camera roll instead. In my camera roll, it goes through the animation once and then stops. I do have "Loop" selected in the animation settings. Is this something to change within camera roll? Will it keep looping, on IG, once I add more frames to make it long enough?
