I don't know, maybe some of noticed that i struggled a lot over the last year with getting inspired and motivated. And IF, it was always painful to vid cause i literally had to force myself. My inner perfectionism was blocking me so bad .. i just had enough. Vidding should be fun, and it was not. Then in december i discovered this show, with such light entertaining content, so easy to follow .. just right what i needed at that time. It may be one of those shows that aren't "cool" to vid or whatever. But i decided that 2017 is gonna be different. I wanna try get out of my comfort zone, stop caring about other opinions and just vid what i want.
So here i am vidding Noorhelm. Using a song and some editing techniques i never thought i would. It may be not perfect or one of my best videos, but i haven't had so much fun with editing as i had with this one, in such a long time. I just had to do this for myself. BLAH BLAH i know i probably sound way too dramatic, but it his how it is.
First of all i want to give a HUGE shoutout to Sara (Shainira) and Aneta (cassaravi) for the massive support.

internally freaked out when i saw this in my sub box - you vidding skam is the DREAM. perfectionism can be crippling and i can totally relate to your description, i'm so sorry you've been feeling this way. you're absolutely right, it should never be something you feel like you have to force yourself to do. it should be something you enjoy, something you WANT to do. i'm so glad skam could make it enjoyable for you again. i completely agree, the accessibility of the content makes it so fun (addicting even) to vid. even though you may not consider this one of your best, i enjoyed it from start to finish! your editing is strong as ever, i love how many voice overs your incorporated, and i just really loved how you told their story. let 2017 be the year of vidding WHATEVER you want. i cannot wait.

I have REALLY been trying to bloody progress this video and I kinda failed because I am still as shook as I have been when I first watched this video the first time aND I HATE YOU BECAUSE I AM A BLOODY MESS OVER HERE, ANJA. Now let me try to say a few words about this beautiful piece and one of the most beautiful almost 4 minutes I've spend in my life watching this video. I absolutely fucking *love love love love love* how you edited it all together... this has been one of the most beautiful and pleasing editing I have seen, especially from you - I'm not saying this because this is Noorhelm or because you made it for the squad but because that's the truth and that's how I feel about it. Really, Anja... I am so proud of you! I know how much you struggled and I know how you gave your BEST to push yourself out of your comfort zone and look at the bloody result! *PERFECTION.* Truly. I absolutely love how you worked with the voiceovers and the moments, how you mixed it together, like... what the hell? It looks so damn good and it's BRILLIANT. You hear me? IT'S BRILLIANT. Not to mention the text, for one who barely works with text in her videos this is absolutely gorgeous. It fits almost too perfectly... the way you used it for the voiceover and for the lyrics... god damn, it looks so pretty! I love your videos and I love how much effort you put into things. I know how perfectionism can bar yourself from realizing how talented you are, or makes it easy to get frustrated with how whatever you're creating is not upto your own standards. But I hope you can think of this: whatever you create is amazing. You have lots of fans who follow your videos because they're a visual pleasure and you have a talent of weaving the characters stories together with just the right songs and emotions. English is not my first language so I'm not sure how I'm translating across the page but. I really do appreciate how hard you work and how fantastic your end product always is. I started off with season 3 cause Isak and Even. Then I was lowkry interested in Chris's character so I watched season 1, I feel in love with Noora and Sana. Finished season 1 and how mature the girls were to make up in the end. Saw all these videos of Noora and William, making me nervous to watch their rollercoaster of a relationship cause Im bad at dealing with even on screen couples heartache. But im on episode 7 or 8. I left off there 2 months ago. This is beautiful. Im going to start watching it again, it just sucks William left the show.

I dont get why a lot of people hate William. Is it really because he used to be egotistic, selfish, manipulative jerk? Or is it because he's straight and gorgeous and white? Yes, he was a jerk at first, but he changed for the better in the end, and thats what matters. Please let's not overlook the major unselfish things William did for Noora: He wrote that article for her, which clearly showed there was more to William than met the eye; and he deliberately forego telling her about his father's wish for them to go back to london, because he knew Noora was happier being with her friends in Oslo and probably didnt want her to put in a position where she would be torn between wanting William to not disappoint his father and following her heart, which was to be with William AND still be with her friends at the same time. He chose not to worry her unnecessarily by keeping it to himself. He chose to be with her but in the process sacrificed his blossoming relationship with his father, which he'd always wanted and finally gotten. He could have asked her to be the one to make the sacrifice, but he didnt. And to me, thats a huge testament to how much he's changed and how much he loved her, putting her feelings first before his. Is there any better proof of character development than that? William grew up in a dysfunctional family, and while that's not a good excuse to treat girls badly, some people just cant help the way they behave in dealing with their inner demons. The point of their story is to show that when people--including bad guys and independent women--fall in love, they change for better or for worse. William clearly changed for the better, and Noora--a strong, independent woman--made stupid decisions because of her love for William, as we often do when we're in love. She became insecure and easily forgave all the horrible things William did. And then she left him in London without saying goodbye. That was a really sh**ty thing to do, but she was obviously hurt and scared. Again, not a good excuse to just disappear, but as I said before, each of us behave differently in certain situations. Just because some of us would have made a smarter choice doesnt mean that the people who made a poor choice should be judged and not given a chance to change and be forgiven and just forever condemed. But if all the hate is really because William's not gay, well, come on! Really, guys? You have Even and Isak already. Let us have William and Noora. Dont be greedy.

I guess both, but mainly your second guess. You know, it's not cool to like male, white, rich & straight kids these days. Especially not ship it with an independed, feministic girl who has the potential to be in a lgbt relationship. I'm actually very objective about people's opinions but pheww .. i've seen things in this fandom. However, i stopped paying attention to this side of the fandom - they can ruin your best mood - and simply enjoy these characters for what they are. That's also why i uploaded this video ;) I just think there's such beauty in two independet people like them, who have been alone for a majority of their lifes, realising that it's okay to need someone. That it's okay to let someone in and accept love because .. people need people .. duh.

Honestly, this has to be the best video about these two on youtube. I've watched a bunch of Noora/William videos and no one left me amazed like this one did.
