The last thing you should ever do when you've made a mess of your hair (or anything in your life) is to attempt to correct it using a technique/tool that you've never used before. Especially when you're in an emotional state. Take a break, have a cup of tea and come back to it when you you're level-headed. It'll do you the world of good

I'm so happy with curly hair xD It's super hard to actually mess up my bangs lol. Although lately I've been visiting curl hairdressers to do it for me anyway, they cut my hair dry, that was new to me. But I also read that curls are better cut dry.
@crackheadlizard83542 жыл бұрын
yeah, if you always wear your hair curly and don't ever straighten it you should cut it dry because if you wet it and cut it like it's straight hair, your haircut will be uneven when it dries. Some curls are more tight, and some are more loose. I'm glad you're happy with your curls

It’s astounding to me how there are so many people out there who think that the rest of the world cares about them cutting their bangs. Like… I’m obviously entertained by the fails, or I wouldn’t be here-but there are ENDLESS videos that start “hey, today I’m going to be cutting my own bangs!” like it’s something new or novel.
@Undomaranel2 жыл бұрын
It's because it's a huge milestone for someone doing it for the first time. From the confidence needed to do something semi-permanent that everyone will judge you over, to developing the skills, and so much more. It is a leap of faith to start with, be it bangs or trimming your ends or a wolf cut or whatever. It's not that it's new or novel, but that it's personal and they're stepping up to the responsibility.
@thecaptainsnark2 жыл бұрын
Are you honestly under the impression that people that post things on social media believe "the rest of the world cares?" I mean the world doesn't care about your opinion either but you offered it. Why? Because you're a human and you crave social interaction and a tiny glimmer of connection with other people in order to be seen. Otherwise you would have just said this out loud to yourself and moved on. Also, it's quite likely they have followers who enjoy their content not because it's novel but because she's a person? And I also want to point out the fact that she likely knew it would fail and be entertaining to watch, that is quite literally why you are here. "i mean i know i'm watching this content but i think this content is stupid and no one should post it."
@rowdybliss2 жыл бұрын

As a hairdresser myself, cutting bangs is one of the most difficult things to do, in my opinion. My first client ever asked if I could fix her bangs. She said she went to another salon and the cut them too short. Me, new at hairdressing at the time, I said yes, thinking it would be easy. I did my best, she didn't leave worse than she came in, but not perfect (obviously). She started crying, because she wanted longer and thicker bangs, which was impossible since she already had very short bangs. I felt so bad that I didn't charge her. I spent a few years after that experience avoiding bangs at all costs lol
@luciatat40842 жыл бұрын
That’s a funny request from your client, to ask for longer bangs 😂 I wonder why she thought you can magically make her hair grow in 5 minutes :)))

If she wanted it thicker and longer then perhaps what she was hoping for was a fringe that contained a larger and further back section of hair that could be longer and cover the shorter, thinner fringe underneath? 🤷🏽♀️
@natnatnat19892 жыл бұрын
@@Pixietoria yes, that's exactly what I did, but the bags she had were a bit thick, so I couldn't bring to much hair from the back. Her problem was the length, not the thickness, so... It was a bit difficult for me lol
@Пупсик-и6д Жыл бұрын
One day I came to the hairdresser with a photo of the bangs I wanted. She sat me down, I asked you exactly how to do this, she kicked me out after this question. I am grateful to her, it was a sign that I didn’t need any bangs, because the next hairdresser cut off my bangs so much that I fell into a deep depression, my hair was already sparse, she cut off the thick bangs so that it was thicker than the main length, many years have passed since then and no more bangs in my life, forever remembering that mistake

Sometimes I get so frustrated watching these hair fails like the girl at the end using a curling iron then going back with a straightener 🤦♀️. Maybe she doesn’t have an older sister that can tell her to not use a curling iron and instead wet her bangs and redry them then straighten it. Also, she’s pulling the straightener straight forward making her bangs stick out. Ahhh, I’m annoyed lol 😂. Another great video though. Thanks for entertaining/educating us like always, Hair Buddha 🖤!

Cutting my bangs are easy. Once they grow below my eyes I get them wet, comb them straight. I cut them just below my eye brows. Some people may think that’s too short, but my bangs flip high…. about my forehead. I know Buddha, you said bangs like that look ugly, but the look fits me and very easy care. My bangs have never layed down flat. If I wanted that I’d have to force it with straightening and hair spray. I don’t do much with my hair. I have natural waves and low porosity hair. I pretty much let it does what it wants.

After a decade of trimming my own bangs, the best advice I can give someone is to put down the scissors. If you've tried to even things up twice already? I don't care how uneven it looks, at that point, just resign yourself to uneven bangs. It's better than the alternative. Eta: I use a straightener on my bangs basically every single day because I don't like the wavy bangs look on myself. I just get them going in the same direction and make them curl under a little bit

The last girl... Oh boi! Both the curler and the straightener were way too big for her wispy fringe. She needs a heating tool that's no bigger than 1 inch/2,5cm and then work in sections. To get the perfect wispyness a roundbrush with a dryer is best and let it cool down on a big roller.
