This short clip is from interview of Dr. Carl Jung. In this clip Jung affirms that we can predict the future. Predicting the future is possible via exploring the subconscious of the people around us. Using this method Jung was able to foresee world war 2 years before it begun.

While he certainly did respect his parents, he didn’t necessarily “listen to them” per se, as in being an obedient child. I’m sure he was obedient, but the path he took was far different than the one his father imagined for him. Jung’s father was a pastor, and if I remember correctly his father wanted Jung to do something similar. His father was also an academic, something Jung shared with him, and Jung remarked that his father died never actualizing who he was. Highly reccomend reading his auto biography, “memories dreams reflections”

@jacobbarrera1480 what's your point? He was one of the greatest psychoanalysts that the world has ever known, are you suggesting he should've been a pastor instead?
@cobbingtonjr
@cobbingtonjr Жыл бұрын
@@Marky1234-u9j Quite the opposite. I'm suggesting that being disobedient to the father or mother in this regard, if warranted, is precisely what may be required for personal development. In the Bible, Jesus mentions that one should cast away their father, their mother, or their family in general if they impede one's devotion to Christ (I would argue this is a psychological casting away, for in reality it's silly to completely abandon family and I actually believe the opposite is true; the day you start looking at your parents as people and not your parents is the day you can begin to foster a true relationship with them) There are many instances of a mother or father wanting their child to be a doctor or a lawyer, and then that child wastes their life to become said doctor or lawyer, but unconsciously they've always wanted to be an author or some other profession, and most likely would have been more successful doing that (in turn inadvertently winning the approval of the parents, for they prefer those sorts of jobs because they guarantee pay, although each individual case is different) I responded to the original comment like that because the OP instituted that Jung must have been a perfect little child who listened to his parents all the time, which isn't the case and goes against Jung's ideas in many ways. Of course, listening to your parents is important, especially in early childhood, but rebellion is a part of psychological development.

@@sdfsfmnsdkfsfdsfsldmfl Hmm…🤔 It was so long ago that I read the book about synchronicity that now I have even forgotten why I was so fascinated by it. I am Japanese, so it's difficult for me to explain the concept of "a meaningful coincidence" in English. So if I were to say what is "a meaningful coincidence"… For example: when something in your consciousness manifests itself in the real world, such as when someone you haven't been in touch with for a long time contacts you at the right time. In my case, It happened three times in my life though, when I suddenly start remembering someone I hadn't thought of for many years, then I found out when I contacted a mutual friend or I was informed later that they had passed away. Why things came to mind happen at that exact moment in material world was the subject of Jung's research and was also applied to the psychoanalysis of his patients. It is well known that while Jung was listening to a patient who had a dream about a scarab beetle, a synchronicity occurred in which he heard a sound and opened the window to see the scarab beetle. Jung interpreted the meaning of the dream, explaining that in ancient Egypt the scarab beetle represented "rebirth" or "resurrection," and the patient began to recover. However, Jung was also interested in paranormal phenomena such as poltageists and the occult, so as a psychoanalyst, it may be wise to take that into consideration as well.

I am recognizing more and more people interested in homesteading, community life, and going back to basics. I also see a rise in gentle parenting, empathetic communication, and the understanding that we are all part of a collective consciousness. I believe we will change to be less violent and more connected with the land and become less fixated on consumerism which has been the focus of our last century.

As i have as well. A rash of several predictive dreams that came to light over several years. However the events are very very novel of little to no apparent significance in my observable life. My theory is that your future self can make a slight ripple in space time of which a few travel back in time to our present, our lucid brains acting as antennae capturing those elusive few stray events. The question quickly becomes his can i utilize this ability? Well, again, my theory is that you simply have to always try and make those ripples (in the present, which is the pasts future). Those ripples are maybe created via purposeful thought that transcends the ordinary ie. lucid day dream like thoughts? Who knows. Just ideas floating in my head like forever.

Makes me think of how the bible presents the dreams as views of the future or premonitions and there are quite some “prophets” such as Daniel and Joseph who had predicted the future through dreams.

Whether or not you are a Christian there is definitely something. An old friend I had was not religious in the least bit. Raised by an alcoholic and in foster homes, he told me one time with a smile on his face about a dream he had that night "angels were singing it was bright and beautiful". Definitely wasn't acting his self. Well exactly a week later he drowned in a freak accident was riding his bike home from work on the canal path like he he did every night fell, knocked his self out and drowned. He had also called his mom for the first time in over two years and told he he loved her I guess. He was only 17.

Yup. This is another path that jungs opinion can take. And for many many people around the world it's not so shocking this idea. In fact for those individuals (of which i include myself) consider divinity into this. Whatever you wish to call it. There are great mysteries that our greatest scientists have yet to crack and likely never will.

I used to have dark disturbing recurring dream over several years. It's haunted me over the years. And i feel like either (again) it was the future calling OR it was just ONE highly probable future IF my current path in life didn't change soon in some significant way. It all culminated and came to a head one day as my world was collapsing... weeks later i came to terms with myself and hopefully the other person. Still even later i made a significant change in my life (revelatory) that i believe in my heart that the course of my life has now been altered for the better (and those dreams i have not recurred since). Sorry for the obfuscation. Try and fill in/ imagine the gaps.

Very interesting. The future really seems to be predetermined somehow...and multifold information of "many futures" travels backwards in time . Unbelievable but at least partly true . Superdeterminism is seemingly true, but how does it work ?

Know Thyself. The stream.of human consciousness is common to all of humankind. Look at our history, we repeat the same behaviour over and over. Guide and under the spell of " fear" created by our " thinking psychologically, which is always from the past.So change is just modifying the past which becomes our future. History repeating itself as un humankind behaviour. Namaste 🙏

It's not just understanding the current psychological state of the people at large, it's also being observant of patterns to a greater than normal degree, knowledge of history and yes, dreams.

We want to know the future because we want confirmation of the ego's belief that the present is flawed and that it will be redeemed by something better in the future. We want someone to tell us "Yes, your prince (princess) will come and you will live happily ever after." The ego's basic stance is that what is happening now isn't good enough, but someday it will be, and that will last forever. It is a fairytale that is so deeply embedded in our makeup that we don't even realize we are telling ourselves this. When you find yourself wanting a better moment-wanting something else in the future-it can be helpful to ask: What will that give me?

INFJ here - partial mind reading is my specialty, sometimes to my detriment. I study people carefully (not in a creepy way) Humanity is on a bad path, but i predict eventually if time doesn't run out the people will rise up and overthrow the powers that be (governments, media, education, other institutions etc) which have become too powerful and self-serving and engaging in mass brainwashing for far too long - keeps us living in fear so we consume. Alot of people are pissed off and miserable at the system, mostly the people struggling. It's always been this way but presently it's bad. Consciousness is changing, the human mind is evolving and a mass awakening is occurring - the human mind (inner space) is the great unknown, along with outer space, creation etc. They say nothing is impossible and in the future i wouldn't doubt that fact. I think eventually we will become one - male and female yes but evolve eventually to be become more like an alien race, technology will move from mechanical to psychological and energy based - to eventually propel mankind into the depths of space. Violence will ensure but the love and good nature of humanity will eventually win.

yeah that’s right , i’m with that perspective , even we can imagine what’s the total and deep of the predictions of future , for example some religions have that nobility and speciality to narrations of dreams , even these and those dreams will be correct or wrong , for example , in islam , we have many predictions that are associated with god with both badness and goodness sides of life , death and resurrection in world and universe , even in hell and heaven , for example , god will tell us what will happen by its will in future , or what happen by its will in present , or what happened by its will in past , so if we read history of wars and conflicts in our continents and countries in world and universe , some of them were allies and friends to the both good and bad side of god , some of them were opponents and enemies to the both good and bad side of god , it means that every tiny little bit thing happened because of god with both good and bad side of god , and happen with both good and bad side of god , and will happen with both good and bad side of god , even it’s the main and original reason why islam turned every main source of everything to the different and diverse perspectives of god , because muslims realized and knew that fact that god will cause everything and every events in past , present and future by its will , so they will be satisfied when they will say praise to god , because they will realize and know that fact that god is associated with every tiny little bit zero , every tiny little bit quarter , every tiny little bit half , every tiny little bit second , every tiny little bit minute , every tiny little bit hour , every tiny little bit day , every tiny little bit night , every tiny little bit week , every tiny little bit month , every tiny little bit year , every tiny little bit century , every tiny little bit millennium , every tiny little bit infinite , etc... , so it’s the main and original reason why they believed in god from the beginning until the end , even some important and impactful historical empires were not so associated with god or islam , but they acted as such actors in theater of life , death and resurrection in world and universe , could be said their acting was like an acting as an islamic and muslim empires , in a time , they weren’t islamic or muslim empires , but their alliances with islamic and muslim empires , it’s something strange and interesting , because of world and universe is full of puzzle and depth meaningful codes and indexes that behind them there are many other secrets too , so actually and really understanding and comprehension with knowledge and wisdom , are necessary and effective things to advance and develop our mind and brain with added more knowledge and wisdom towards our world and universe , thank you very much .

There are so many people believing in "depopulation" in my country... I used to think those people are just very evil and express their hatred in such way, but this video puts my thoughts on new tracks. Perhaps there is collective unconscious, which will either lead to something evil based on so much unexpressed hatred or it has grasped something which we haven't noticed consciously yet.

it's simple history, a small war every 50 years, great war every 100, life threatening one every 500 years. With rise of technology, leisure, inequality it would accelerate this with the rising population, but if you decrease it it will simply delay it 10-20 years or even 50 years. That's all they need to kick the can to the next generation. Even depopulation proponents did the math, it only takes 1 generation to sacrifice themselves with 1-2 kids and it would reverse or stop over-population. But yea, overpopulation is a myth, it's only an idea perpetuated by western society of their ideal society.
