Prayers are all I need. I know Jesus is coming soon. I will keep faith. I will lay my fears upon the Lord! As a single mother I’m overwhelmed at times because both of my children are autistic. I’m desperately struggling trying to support them my husband passed years ago. Since covid I’ve been struggling. I have been mocked and harassed for sharing my testimony! But I’m crying out to our Lord and savior. I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption. I’m waitressing and I’m so THANKFUL to be working again, but I’m not making nearly enough to make ends meet. Mandates are still in place so I can’t go back to the hospital. But even as I struggle every month to pay rent and to buy groceries and even though I’m ashamed because of my situation. I have faith that God will provide. He has this far. Faith is truly the key. I know God will make away! Please pray for me and my children. GOD BLESS!😊

@@imnotanalien7839ell a consensus conclusion done by multiple agencies compiling raw data of hospital visits and deaths have concluded that the vaccines have prevented 18 million hospitalizations and 3 million deaths. Now again, this is the established "consensus" opinion meaning all 20+ studies done by accredited organizations offered their data research and it was averaged out. The number could be slightly larger or lower but all the results were astonishingly close (no study showed less than 2.7 million lives saved). So this is the price of the vaccine: some people who refuse to take a vaccine that is proven to save lives of others now actually increase their DANGER to others. By not taking the vaccine you are putting others at greater risk. Every single legitimate scientific study proves this. Every one. So, yes, there are consequences to making this decision. Not unlike driving drunk. You can SAY it's *your* decision to drink and drive, which of course it is, but the reason there are serious consequences for this behavior are because by making this decision you are proven scientifically to put others at greater risk of mortality.

The Catholic church, unfortunately, is drenched, and completely consumed and manipulated by pride. Blatantly disobedient to a very specific directive to one of Jesus's directives. 👇🏼 Matthew 23:8-16. It's like it was designed to mock Him. And the spiritual head of the Vatican is a disaster... 👇🏼 James 1:27

I like this sermon except for one little part: the WAY in which we bear other people's burdens, which I wish BB had touched on: You give a man a fish, you feed him for a day; you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime. We also have to be careful that we are not literally "taking on someone else's burden" that they really SHOULD be shouldering themselves. There is righteous pride in helping yourself. Doing for others can become smothering, and at its ugliest, it becomes virtue signaling. Literally, there was a black muslim girl accusing the UK of creating a "white savior complex" because she claimed the UK gave money to black countries to help in a way that the UK thought was right (and likely in consultation with the local governments). So, the UK gave money for wells, and schools, etc... and this muslim woman was literally upset about it and accusing the UK of creating the "white savior complex". Huh. No, don't take up OTHER people's burdens. Help, teach, listen, be a friend, etc... but don't go around doing what other's should be doing for themselves. and I guess, make sure that those people want your help to begin with. Or if you give too much, it turns from a good thing to a thing that people resent.

As an atheist I find your unfounded accusation that I am "nothing" to be deeply offensive. As the saying goes "there is no greater hate than Christian love".
@mariefrench44
@mariefrench44 8 ай бұрын
@@downenout8705 Hi! it is meant as a figure of speech in the Catholic tradition... BB is not accusing you of being "nothing", but that Catholics feel as nothing without the love of God. "We are nothing" without God, is how a christian expresses their deep love of God and all that He brings into their life. I have experienced that personally myself, during my stint as an atheist. I finally gave up being an atheist because if it meant I could not commune with God, as I had since I was a child, then the world just did not seem like much to me. You may differ, and I respect your right to do so, but please realize that this is not a personal attack on you.
@downenout8705
@downenout8705 8 ай бұрын
@@mariefrench44 Well I consider it to be a deeply offensive figure of speech and as I am well aware of Psalm fourteen I also find it to be very much a personal attack. As to your stint as an atheist, it's possible to be an atheist for bad reasons and your reasons are laughably the worst I have ever heard. I therefore find it unsurprising that you returned to the religion that you were indoctrinated into. Guess that's the difference between us, I would never promote such things about you as being good and true just because you don't share my lack of belief in your god.
@downenout8705
@downenout8705 8 ай бұрын
@@mariefrench44 I guess that I have found another difference between us. If by words I discovered that I had offended someone without good reason, I would apologise and stop. You however remain silent and will presumably continue to promote Psalm fourteen as good and true.

Let it be known to all: Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit! Hear me when I say, ye that are Catholic have been deceived and know not God. Ye worship Mary, praying to her; when God tells his to worship none other than him. It is idolatry. Catholicism has its own Bible and teachings, which are blasphemous to the word of God: the Holy Bible. As ye follow the teachings of man and not God; ye hear the pope, but not Jesus, yet ye claim to be his disciples! These are but a few things I named ye dwell within; there are many more. I tell you now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father! There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you! They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God... Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask: "Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen." Revelation 22:8-9 KJV 8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. Acts 2:38 KJV 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Luke 11:13 KJV 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? John 14:21-24 KJV 21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.* 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.* 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.* 3 John 1:11 KJV 11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. *He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.* 1 John 3:6-10 KJV 6 *Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.* 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: *he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.* 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.* 10 *In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,* neither he that loveth not his brother.

I wrestled with my faith for a long time. I have had many unfair things happen to be ( as we all do) however painful it might of been, there was always this light in the corner bringing hope. After the birth of my daughter, I had all these plans and preparations. ALL OF THAT WAS THROWN AWAY. I went through this purification, I got to the point where my life meant nothing, my child meant nothing, I surrendered every. Everything is yours Lord Jesus, TAKE IT ALL. after I had done that, all I had left was virtue and the present moment and then, only then did life make sense, did the next persons life make sense, did my daughters life make sense, did all life make sense. I can't unsee what I saw, so everyday is a moment for love, and I cannot put any limitations on that. This Gospel speaks deeply to me, and I need to be reminded daily.

It was like the survival of the fittest mentality; and I turned off the movie. I know that; the movie would have a happy ending; of repentance. But Bishop Barron comforted my heart. I’m very troubled. I am a new father and my daughter is exactly as Bishop Barron describes - EVERYTHING to me. I don’t even know how to “love” Jesus more than her. I believe in Jesus, I pray to Jesus, and desperately want to love him how I love her, but I don’t know what that means. I can’t see Jesus. I can’t even be fully certain he’s the Son of God. I’m willing to put my faith into him and do my absolute best to follow his instructions and remove sin from my life (even though I sometimes fail). I pray to Jesus for forgiveness, but I don’t know how to “love” him the same way I love my daughter. I feel an enormous sense of gratitude in my heart when I see her and for everything I’ve been blessed with, but I don’t think that’s the same thing. Can help me understand this please?! And pray for me too. Thank you!

"Relentless demand and liberating power"--those are profound words. Yes, the Gospel is demanding in a way that distinguishes Christ from any other religious figure, and yet there is great power because we are able to live the purpose for which God created us, to show Jesus to others so they can see Him and see God Who sent Him. I had some difficulty trying to make a connection between the first and Gospel readings for today, and I feel like this homily helps shed light on what it means to devote our lives to God, which is present also in the Psalm and 2nd reading. Thank you. Thanks be to God.

Beautiful Homily! Thank you!! I have never felt more joy and peace in my traumatic and dramatic life, then when I gave my entire heart and soul to Jesus! I have had to give up my own children (adults) who have turned their backs on me because I became Catholic. This is not what I want, I want to reconcile, but Christ comes first. ❤️🙏🏼❤️

Your foolish. I don’t know the situation with your children but I am betting its not because your became catholic but for many other reasons. I hope you get back with your children they are your flesh and blood. Don’t listen to this idiot about loving god more than your own children. This is when religion becomes dangerous

Thank you for your words of wisdom Bishop Barron, that are meant to enlighten everyone. 🥰 😇. God bless you and be with you always as you continue with your life’s journey, fulfilling your purpose in life, spreading the Good News. 🙏 Forever grateful to our Heavenly Father for our blessed, precious, God given life, and for all the blessings that we receive each day, even when we don’t ask, for he knows what we need. It’s not what we want, but what God wills, for he knows best. We can’t always get what we want, but we just hope that it is what God wills as well. Grateful to God, our Father, for sending his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that through him, we might be saved and our sins be forgiven. 🙏 Jesus, our Lord, God and Saviour, who showed the ways of life, which are all good; Jesus who sacrificed, and died on the cross, for us to live, with a promise of life everlasting in his Heavenly Kingdom. ❤️🙏 Grateful for sending us the Holy Spirit, to guide, teach, protect us, reminding us of Jesus ways; 🙏😇for the Ten Commandments guiding us every time we use our own free will, given us, to choose and decide what to do, ( in words and in deeds). +++ JESUS COVENANT, the TWO GREATEST COMMANDMENTS of all that sums it all, *** TO LOVE GOD ABOVE ALL, *** TO LOVE OTHERS AS HE LOVES US, AS WE LOVE OURSELVES. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏 +++ GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON, GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT… ROLLED INTO ONE. ( HOLY TRINITY… ONE GOD). “IF YOU HAVE SEEN ME, YOU HAVE SEEN THE FATHER. “ “If you love me, you love the Father who sent me. If you believe in the Father, believe also in me”. “ If you love me, you will follow my commandment”. Believing in God, loving Jesus… with all our hearts, and might and soul… are reflected through loving one another. GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, JESUS CHRIST… THAT THROUGH HIM, WE MIGHT BE SAVED… SEEN THROUGH FOLLOWING THE TWO GREATEST COMMANDMENTS, FOLLOWING HIS WAYS ( WHICH ARE ALL GOOD), USING OUR FREE WILL, SERVING THE LORD, PLEASING HIM. TO LOVE… BEING HUMBLE, SELFLESS, KIND, COMPASSIONATE, CHARITABLE, FORGIVING, AND MERCIFUL LIKE THE FATHER… NOT INTENDING TO OFFEND, HARM, HURT OTHERS IN ANY WAYS … ( WHICH CAUSES PAIN, TEARS, GRIEF, LOSS, AND MOURNING). We all are sinners, easily tempted, but has good in us, that just need to let surface… putting a smile in one’s face. 😊 We all are accountable for our own actions and realizing our wrong doings, is a good start, and being sorry, asking forgiveness, and heading towards changing for the better, I’m sure is pleasing in God’s eyes. ( And nothing escapes his watchful eyes). Opportunities are there in front of us, ready to be taken. There are things easier said than done, that’s part of our life’s journey. Thank God, for he is always here with us, ready to help, if we only ask, and even times when we don’t ask. 🙏🙏🙏 We’ve seen, experienced it, can’t have everything we want. Keeping our faith strong, our hopes afloat, we do things the best we know how, wth good intentions at heart ❤️, then leave everything in God’s loving hands, asking him for strength to face, manage, endure, overcome… any difficulties, trials, we face in living our lives. 🙏🙏🙏 No one is perfect, we could ask God to help us, be more like him…. Holding on to his promise, to look forward to. 😮😍🥰❤️ MAY WE ALL FIND WAYS TO APPEASE ONE ANOTHER… LEADING TO WORLD PEACE. ✌️❤️🥰😇… THEN WAIT… 🧎‍♀️ Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, interpretation, perception. 🧐 God bless us all, be with us always, strengthen our hearts, minds and souls. 🙏 Peace be with all of God’s children. ✌️🥰 If not for God, we won’t be here, without him, we are nothing, can’t do anything. Glory be to God. 🙏❤️ Grateful Lord. 🙏🙏🙏
