I noticed the bass here in my river in Ohio just started to get keyed in on the shad. I used to get them along the edges and laydowns with wacky rigs and jigs but the last week now I get them in the middle of the river burning a gizzard shad strike king 1.5 crankbait. Its fun learning as it goes on. I just got a fishing kayak 3 months go and been going almost daily. These videos help so much and its awesome seeing it all happen on river and then changing up tactics to keep catching fish!

Water temp mid September is 87 degrees in Orlando. Good news is the fish are moving away from deep haunts as we speak. Wood is where theyre headed and any shell bars you can find with wind pushing into them. Really enjoy your conversation and advice. Thx for sharing

They are some fun ones for sure. I could throw that squarebill and jerkbait all day long. And of course the c rig just gets the job done.

Thanks for tips Steve! I love throwing the reaction baits this time of year. I would have never thought about throwing a Carolina Rig in the Fall. I'm going to try that approach this weekend when I head out. The water is being drawn down out here in East Tennessee and the water temp is in the low 80's still. Fall is just around the corner. Thanks for sharing your fishing knowledge with us Steve!

Water temps have begun to drop a bit here in the deep south as well. It's gone from boiling water to a hot bath. I was surprised at how warm that water still was just yesterday even though you can definitely feel fall is in the air...well, fall for us anyway, lol.

Dag on fish hiding like Vietcong in NC. I was catching np. Till round week in September then disappeared. Acting like there bedding again burried up in grass up under over hanging brush so far in like hair in biscuit. I here em i see water moving but there picky as hell. Switch to morning fish time and had way better bite.

It can get really hard for sure! Love it when things cool down some and that bite improves. Always fun fishing in the morning. Thanks for watching!
