But tell me babe, how do you store excess wind turbine electrical generation for use when the wind isn't blowing? Any pumped storage in Wellington? Any large lithium or sodium battery arrays? Any cryogenic air storage? Until renewable energy is dispatchable, like hydro ore geothermal or fossil fuel thermal, or nuclear, it is only have the solution.

Wellington is known as the windiest city on earth. It is almost always very windy there, so it’s not half the solution but maybe 95% of the solution. Whether they use fossil fuel or battery storage when the wind is down doesn’t matter that much because most of the problem is solved with wind.
