Pusha used most them angles BEFORE Joe Budden. Push been catching W’s against Young Money since 2006. AND Joe’s best diss to Drake (“Afraid”) came the year AFTER Pusha beat him already. Wayne’s diss tracks to both Pusha and 50 were GARBAGE. AND everybody said Drake fans was gonna drown out his career like Meek Mill. Push came right back, 2022 and dropped a #1 album with no disses on it, and no radio singles. He did a lot more than dent Drake’s armor, he opened the flood gates with that run. He showed the industry that the corporation’s favorite can actually bleed. Man, it was a time if you said anything about Drake.. the entire industry would stand on the other side of the room from you.

Actually it’s prob the other way around. One example: The “five guys” angle Joe used about Drake being signed to madd people. Pusha said that in 2012 or 2013. Joe used the angle in 2016. Ghostwriting. Pusha said that about everybody on YMCMB in 2010. Salute to Joe, but, nobody perceived weakness in Drake until Pusha. Nobody would even stand next to you if you dissed Drake before then. Not trying to ruin their chances at a feature. Pusha turned the tide. Kendrick DEFINITELY borrowed from Joe though. “Stomach that, then Tell’em where you get your abs froooom” def came from Joe, for example. He prob borrowed from Common too, with the Canadian angle.
