This week I did teambuilding for Kanto and came up with almost the exact same team as you: - Charizard - Nidoking - Gyarados - Magnezone - Alakazam - Bellossom I like Bellossom over Snorlax since you get it earlier and it completes the Fire-Grass-Water core. Important to note that if you delay evolving your Nidoran M until lvl 24, you can have a lvl 24 Nidoking with Poison Jab, whereas Nidorino would only learn it at lvl 39.

Started playing this game and watching your guides help a ton! Quick question though, is it worth capturing Snorlax, since early in the game you do not have a lot of money to buy great balls, and are IV's and nature random upon catching him? TIA! New subscriber from PH.

Nidoking and Gyarados with HA can't be catch in wild like normal pkm bro .. in wild they can be catch on Alpha swarms i think this need to be confirmed , OR you must breed them to get the HA ones ( but breeding in kanto is on island 4 so this cant be done before storyline ) .. still i think both of them are good one for Kanto playthrough even without theur H.A

uhh i think it gets moxie when its a gyarados

Rattled is the HA of Magikarp, and it converts into Moxie when evolved into a Gyarados. Can't catch a normal Magikarp with HA.
