I watched a video from someone that said you can't make money from supacolor. This video made me a little mad because I believe you can make money on anything. You just have to find the right buyer for the product. I haven't used supacolor yet, but I plan on using it when the situation is right.

I think your pricing strategy is backwards. I try to determine what the market will bear and then research the cost and decide if I am going to offer this product.

This guy said exactly what I was thinking. You business approach about customers and pricing is what I have been saying. Price based on how much profit you want to make. Its ok for for people to say no. You want customers who are willing to pay for your services. That how you make profit. I was thinking while I was watching this video, I LOVE THIS GUY.

im ordering some supacolor transfers. just makes the most sense. eliminates the need, expense and learning curve of trying to make my own transfers…. in business you have to know, and sometimes learn the hard way what you should farm out and what you should do yourself. time is always money.

When I first order super color transfers.. it was hit and miss with the application even though I follow the instructions to the T off of their website and other KZbin users advice.. but I looked at my artwork too much fine detail lines etc.. I know super color has great Superior quality... So going to reorder... but this time I'm going to make my transfer artwork solid.. one piece so everything comes off in one application peel. I think that fix my issue.

have you checked if your heat press is at the correct temp? I have seen videos of heat presses that are like $200 and they aren't accurate

not sure if you will see this, and its been a year.. but I noticed one thing is for sure: use them as a cold peel if you ever have peel issues hot. and then repress with a teflon sheet over the top works every time
@stevendorn1736
@stevendorn1736 2 жыл бұрын
@@monkeyworksgarage7968 actually you're right.. because when I let the transfer cool down a little bit and let the glue dry some it worked fine.. but when I peel them as soon as I lifted my heat press the glue was still melting and a print was damaged

Im with you on your thoughts about clients. The vast majority of clients care only about 3 things. 1. Can you do it 2.How much is it 3. When can I have it. They really dont care how you do it, thats why they hire you, so they dont have to deal with it but it is up to you on the level of quality you want to deliver and price accordingly.

Can you post the link you talked about on not being the lowest price? I can relate to the customer wanting specific things. I did a large print job once with mailing, and the customer was a very old man. It was a simple one page b/w letter and he insisted it be done on offset and not digital. Guess what that means considering I didn't have an offset press? It means I had to outsource it and I made sure I marked additional margin as a result. It ended up causing much more of a hassle and downtime. Something I could have done in a day or two now took several weeks just for the outsourced printer to print the items. I'll admit, for things like reading books, I do like old fashioned offset but for a letter...like who cares.

I ordered a couple of my original designs from super color a couple of months ago.. I ordered a couple of dozen which was 15 by 14 and a half.. but it seems as though they are hit and miss I followed instructions to the T on their website and other t-shirt transferred users.. I've been doing t-shirts for a long time I think I'm going to just start fucking with screen printing again.... Vinyll is always accurate but to deal with that shit is too time consuming .... weeding and cutting and shit.. it is what it is.. or My stack my money and get a DTG.. I guess that's the ultimate.
@ttms
@ttms 3 жыл бұрын
If you can keep the DTG busy, that's definitely the best option for one off or small runs. The biggest issue I've seen with supacolor is using the right pressure. Usually takes more than what's listed,but it depends on your press.

Bro I have a sawgrass 1000 for sublimation but I need an inkjet printer that print at least 13x19 to print on to black shirts. Should I say fuck it and get the bn20 or use a epson printer

I'd get the BN20 over an inkjet. You'll not only be able to do printed htv, but banners, stickers, and more. Call Todd, he can hook you up. His info is in the video description.

Of course you can make a profit on short runs/once offs or your own brand. But anything scaled up, its far cheaper to do with other methods and bulk order customers expect a discount.

Supacolor has price breaks too, the more you increase the order. Of course, you can make reflect that decrease on the customer pricing as well.

If you truly have customers that just don't care about the quality then sure, Supacolor may work out for you. BUT anyone that knows what a quality print is will know that you're using super inferior printing. It feels super cheap and won't hold up in the wash. You will not keep your customers using subpar printing methods.
