I grew up in a racing family, we raced sprint cars and midgets for over 40 years, my question to you, knowing you have two lovely daughters to take care of, why do you leave your visor open, running methanol you have seen what happens when it flashes you will never get it closed in time, the images of JJ, Tom Bailey or Lyle Barnett should be etched in your brain, a head sock should be used to. Back in the 70's we only had single layer suits that we wore the nomex underware with, I survived a methanol fire with relatively light burns, but luckily I had all good safety equipment, safety equipment is so much better today, at least put a skirt on your helmet and close your visor. He'll in the 60's we raced with open face helmets and a bandana covering our nose and mouth. Like I said, I'm a huge fan of yours and only wish the best for you.

💯I need a HANS device and will have one, I was just being stupid. Racing with visor up, I’m claustrophobic with it down. I feel more comfortable with visor up. I’ve been in 2 fires, both times I’ve shut my shield, pulled the fire system & got out in time before being injured. I know that’s no excuse, it’s my preference
