This is a common play I don’t get why people are shocked by this. I’ve seen a lot of players get a nudge when they stop moving their feet or they can’t keep up with the carriers. It’s a desperation play literally pushing the teammate closest to the puck for a slight advantage during a race to the puck. Why would Robertson intentionally hurt a teammate for ice time? Are people that stupid ?
@misterinsanity6980Ай бұрын
There was literally no reason to do it in that play. The nudge would have pushed him into Habs defense anyways. If the Habs player was about to go on a breakaway and Nylander knew Robertson was there, he might be expecting a push. He wasn’t expecting anything there

For those who are clueless or are just being ignorant and thinking an injured player is funny Nylander had a Collision into the boards not even 5 minutes prior so he was already in some discomfort and could be why he fell so easily
@jsquared1013Ай бұрын
i think Robertson was trying to make an impression by doing a "special move" (like the other example here where Ducks break up a rush, or another clip I saw where Quinn Hughes used this same move to help a teammate catch and stop a breakaway in a regular season overtime game), but in over-eagerness and under-judgement did it at a time when it wouldn't have helped, to a player that is known/stereotyped for not backchecking hard anyway.

A concession, or brain injury, is serious not only from the obvious effect but also from the possibility of an impact on reaction time, emotional control and/or cognitive ability.
