You Can't Play Yugioh 1 Card Loop SUPER CONSISTENT Orcust Norleras Deck Profile

To address some of the critiques imma put this here. I usually don't want to share this part because discovering what you can do MORE. So I finished 1st at locals today 2-0 everyone, lol I think some of the new guys aren't coming back..(first tourney) lol. I guess I'll share my insight to make players a bit more competent with the deck and natural outs to so called "bad hands" (I comboed 3 times total on only game 1 going 1st) With this build, opening carboneddon sucks because infact I opened carboneddon like 5 times, karma trying to fix the tournament. But... Not the end of the world, with cynet as a ditch to dump orcust or carbon or have foolish or gizmek, so orcust plays. To fix it.:. Build update: add gillasaurus n cache Eve lv 2. (Thank a comment or for those suggestions) That does turn the search cards into extenders. So thanks. I expect to meet many handtraps. 7 cards to extend past it. 3 saurvis and 3 called by. 1 foolish burial. When u have it, u have it. I ate Ash, Veiler, fiendess and imperm. And then they lose... Twin twisters great side. But to address them, could add dangers to get extra bodies. And alter ratios. Jaco and tsuchi Nessie moth. If the opponent stops me then.. from there then my opponent did their job, good job my deck is a bit of a butthole anyway balance out my karma. Ashing my Elpy did happen but I extended out by not using Lee, game 2 n 3 ... Don't do it. I side out norleras games 2 if I win. Now I didn't just rely on the Norleras combo. Norleras combo was great going 1st. Having anti handtraps was so helpful. But when I expected them to Ash Elpy which is legit concern with no anti handtraps. I summoned not Lee but the dragon instead from ib. Turn it into Elpy, if that fails I extend by banishing to resummon the vanilla and go into Romulus... If it doesn't fail and I don't have Lee, I add chaos dragon levioneer rip a card and do orcust combo. Or if I already hand lee... then ditch Lee for brotaur effect. What would I change here, nothing much, field mid field break and Terra, -1 sauravis. if they waste a handtraps on Elpy i make orcust plays after they are down a handtraps! Always have a fall back. That's all folks.

Without dangers you risk ending on ovi/draconett if your opponent opens a handtrap and you dont open called/sauravis. Definitely seems worse than running the 6 danger package to atleast do orcust combo if you get interrupted. Also lets you do the full combo if you draw the lee. Your only other special summon from what I can see if you get veilered/imperm on your normal is to pray you opened mining + harp/knightmare or carboneddon. Also, im not sure you can do the combo if you open the carboneddon if you open the oviraptor without a danger extender. With a danger you can also go into phoenix - mermaid, pitch carb get knightmare, make ib, get guard spell and go into the combo from here.

the 1 card loop can be annoying sometimes when you forget a step... and stuff and your 15 minutes into the combo. but that combo is super consistent.. I hope Ib miko not get ban next ban list... i would be very sad.

Combo's nice, but it's a glass cannon that can't go 2nd into even relatively weak (by meta standards) boards, gets destroyed by handtraps and side decking, and loses to itself if it draws garnets. It's a fun concept, but not something that will hold up to 7+ matches. It's basically like pre-list Mystic Mine burn decks: really annoying if you lose to it, but not competitive.

Sadly no 1 card combo decks will be meta in terms of a 7-9 round event until they just lose chokepoints like elpy etc. and also no garnets. Plus the FTK-Auto win gameplans are kinda good at events if you know what you're doing game 3 because your opponent doesn't know if you will play it then so they may hold handtraps if they are good players.

@@theonethathungers5552 Compared to the standard Orcust strategies, yes. This deck can't bait handtraps or force premature activations. There is nothing here in a similar vein to Pathfinder + Dolphin, or Lunalight variants that summon Azathot before comboing. It's has all of the same fundamental problems as the old Predaplant combos; if your normal summon play starter gets hit with disruption, that's the end as you have other real option other than committing to a do or die play early on. And you have no way to go second even with siding, as you've committed more than half of your deck to a glass cannon strategy that loses to a single searchable countertrap. With decks like these that run tons of combo specific play starters and bricks, there isn't actually enough room to fit in a conversion side for game 3; you're committed to the strategy. In the main deck alone the sample decklist has 21 cards that would never see play in a standard Orcust decklist if it wasn't trying to go for Ib plays. And if you draw your Garnets like Flamvell Guard, Justicia, Carbonnedon, or Brotaur with the wrong hand, you lose to yourself. If you count both maindeck World Chalice monsters towards the Garnet count, the deck has as many or more Garnets as it has handtrap interceptors. The deck is only consistent in a very unrealistic vacuum where it gets to go first, doesn't draw its Garnets, and doesn't eat a handtrap on its big chokepoint or had the counter for it. And even that ignores the fact that Gamma is very popular right now and completely ignores both Called and Sauravis.

I was running a similar orcust build but rather than the guard dragon stuff to search out the norleras. I was doing sekkas light BA orcust using sekkas and saryuja to dig for the norleras. Thanks for the tips. Beatrice is a light fairy so it was easy to get the needs, but not the norleras

I don’t know why you go for babel. Go for crescendo instead, the negate is way more powerful. Next turn go Knightmare into harp. Harp summon cymbal. Banish crescendo to add your banished harp or a harp from deck. NS harp. Link Galatea, harp, and cymbal into borrelsword. Banish cymbal for dingirsu. Thus you have guaranteed game on board with the crescendo add. The best counterplay for your opponent is to literally pass so you don’t get to add with crescendo. But even then, if you have a normal summon with your 2 cards (norleras + draw for turn) you can otk

You could increase the wombo combo chance even more with playing 1 Misc-saurus and 1 Aeolo. Also protects the Oviraptor from things like Veiler when you draw an extra Fossil Dig. I don't really know if it'd be worth it tho.

If this takes off, it’ll be kind of annoying, but at least it has fairly strong counters. It loses to Gamma, and it can’t deal with Impermanence unless you open Saurivus. Some decks will be able to play through alright, especially BA and potentially Salamangreat since they have cards like Spinny, Foxy, and Jaguar to pull from the grave. If you don’t open Called, it has weak points for nearly every handtrap in the game from Ash to Ogre to DD Crow to Skull Meister to freaking Cycle Reader. It could potentially be a problem, but I don’t think it’ll be too too bad honestly. It’s super consistent but also super weak to interruptions, like most Guardragon combos.

Same argument can be made. You need to hardraw your handtraps, so unless you play phantazmay or Maxx c gets unbanned you need to draw them. While you may run 6-9 handtraps, he runs 6 anti handtraps. While gamma could work, he also has a lot of ways to fall back, like into an orcust combo

This won’t work as well against sky strikers because if they get a way to see raye and you ripped out all of their spells..they quick link into kagari and get their engage back which puts them back into the game.

someguyfromcanada TBSL You obviously haven’t played or even seen actual competitive matches if you think there isn’t back and forth and if you still think this is a good representation of the competitive scene, then you don’t know much about it. Why should decks and boards need to be weaker if they all have similar strength levels? While a very low powered rouge deck could crush older decks, they get stomped by some other rouge decks and most meta decks. Decks get more powerful with time and now the standard for decks is higher than it used to be. Why that’s a bad thing, I can’t see why. That would be like the nations of the world wanting to go back to swords and shields and castles because our weapons today are too strong.

TheOneThatHungers *sigh* You guys do not listen. The compettive scene has grown stale and boring. Every combo deck ends on the same kind of board, And unless you can afford and run all the counters and staples, You auto lose next turn because you have a limited budget. Unless you run a combo deck, Staples and lots of Handtraps , You will not win. Im sorry but unless Im Missing something, The compettive scene has barely changed at all since last year. Its always 3-5+ disruptions or negations then proceed to OTK next turn with something like borrelsword, and the only difference now being we have no hand loops or actually lock outs. I ran Pendulums at their strongest I had ever run them at, Supreme King Darkwurmz, Chronographs, Jackal Kings, Endymions, Hell even Guardragons and Bane, and I still lost. I was missing like 2-4 cards and I lost as much as I did with a 3x Structure Deck Build. Only securing one win throughout a tournament. I do the combos right, I set up similar boards, and for what?

Actually I did a better version of this that add your opponent hand in his deck without any escape, yesterday (bcz I'm evil ) i've edited this deck to ftk my opponent without damaging my lp using less of 30 cards and filling the last 10 od anti handtraps and draw card. This combo requires 1 card and need just to discard another one Is unbalanced? Yes but basically with ANY t1 deck if you play for second without kick in any handtrap in the right moment you have lost the duell. Likely won't be meta. It's bad going 2nd in terms of breaking boards. Going first it's really good eyes but it's not resilient against a player that knows how to play against the combos. Yes you run 3 called and 3 sauravis but called doesn't stop impermanence and sauravis doesn't stop ogre or ash. You need to situationally draw the card that situationally helps against the HT. A lot of times this won't happen and a lot of times they will open 0 HT but sometimes they will open a HT and you open nothing. The combo is more potent and consistent yes but not very resilient which is the biggest problem that will face the deck in very long tournaments

The deck list is ultra bad. Why play Sauravis which is a very limited anti hand trap instead of playing more versatile extender ? Without doing the combo, it does not matter, we can always do Orcust if we have an extender. And then, please play Gilasaurus and Catch Eye L2 * 1 each! If you have access to 2 Oviraptor thanks to Fossil Dig, are you going to search a another Oviraptor? And if you meet an hand trap ? What if you open Oviraptor and Carboneddon? You can always search Gilasaurus (with Fossil Dig or even, Oviraptor). Same logic with Cynet Mining. Catch Eye L2 and Gilasaurus makes Cynet Mining and Fossil Dig MUCH MORE VERSATILE. And I like to play Destrudo in this deck, excellent extender, and if we already have Norelas in hand, we can search Destrudo with Brotaur and the hand loop will send it to the GY. So I finished 1st at locals today 2-0 everyone, lol I think some of the new guys aren't coming back..(first tourney) lol. I guess I'll share my insight to make players a bit more competent with the deck and address the your critique. So I guess I'll also explain how I personally pilot this deck because just demoing the combo was a bit more one note. (I comboed 3 times on game 1 total) With this build, I accept your critique because some of the issues you speak of did come up infact I opened carboneddon like 5 times. The opening of carboneddon suuuucked. Valid point. But... Not the end of the world, with cynet as a ditch to dump orcust or carbon or have foolish or gizmek. Build update: add gillasaurus n cache Eve lv 2. That does turn the search cards into extenders. So thanks. So I expect to meet many handtraps. 7 cards to extend past it. 3 saurvis and 3 called by. 1 foolish burial. When I have it, I have it. I ate Ash, Veiler, fiendess and imperm. But to address them, could add dangers to get extra bodies. And alter ratios. Jaco and tsuchi Nessie moth. ALSO, Sauravis being a light fodder for chaos dragon levi. If they stop me from there then my opponent did their job. Ashing my Elpy did happen but I extended out by not using Lee, game 2 n 3 ... Don't do it. I side out norleras games 2 if I win. Now I didn't just rely on the Norleras combo. Norleras combo was great going 1st. Having anti handtraps was so helpful. But when I expected them to Ash Elpy which is legit concern with no anti handtraps. I summoned not Lee but the dragon instead from ib. Turn it into Elpy, if that fails I extend by banishing to resummon the vanilla and go into Romulus... If it doesn't fail and I don't have Lee, I add chaos dragon levioneer rip a card and do orcust combo. Or if I already hand lee... then ditch Lee for brotaur effect. What would I change here...nothing. if they waste a handtraps on Elpy i make mermaid. Always have a fall back. Magical midfield breaker. Yes I want to run that. Sounds good to me. -1 sauravis for it. +Terraforming for that and Babel.

MST.TV if the format was just this and Crusadia TD, it wouldn’t be that bad because you could just run a ton of hand traps, but if you main deck hand traps for this, you’ll probably lose to control, stun, or Sky Striker. Going second decks were easier in Firewall format, I swear

@@MSTTV Yes, but NVM just saw that it's only when Romulus is on the field. Nice combo but I found it to be pretty fragile if you get negated successfully during any part.
