Not only that, but it's also tedious to even do simple things. As an example, I recreated Submerged Ruins, but replaced "you" with "3d". Here it is: UIR3-DFHR. The amount of time it takes me to beat Submerg3D Ruins is almost double the time of the original Submerged Ruins.

The only neat trick to 3d is that as shown in one level you can ascertain the difference between wall objects and objects just on the ground.

Playing Treacherous Wetlands, I attempted to solve it via inventory management and concluded it was an impossible puzzle, to then cheese it entirely with BABA HAS BABA to clear water and FRUIT IS SINK to eliminate the flowers. This is why BABA IS YOU is so awesome; attempting to cheat by applying concepts outside those of the presented intended solution is very rewarding, and often required.

Hey Tyler, you might really like Outer Wilds. It's partially a puzzle game, you have to solve a bunch of connected mysteries, and there's a really great story. It's kind of like that one you played where you live for a minute and loop, but instead of reaching physical checkpoints, it's like... The checkpoint is the knowledge you gain. All the things required to beat the game are not hard to execute. Also, it's a really beautiful game in pretty much every way. The only part you might not like is that it can sometimes be easy to miss key information. This almost never causes a problem, because there's a way if keeping track if you've found everything in an area, but if it does cause a problem you can get stuck for a while. My best advice for that situation is to try and find other leads if that happens, then come back later. This only caused a problem for me twice in my playthrough of the main game, but the DLC is much more cryptic and suffers a lot more for it in my opinion.

Intermittently watching, as the series reboot let me know it's updated, and I've been trying to stay ahead of the videos. 16:05 Interesting different solution. I ended up making "Baba is Win" by swapping with "Baba is Swap", and just ignoring the flag entirely (turned it into a Baba on accident near the end but was still fine). And yeah, some levels (like briar) got harder, and some got possible.

Here I was thinking I got the only solution to these levels... on the moon and sun level, i instantly made the moon a sun, got the sun stuck on the ledge, and used the other sun to push the text then turned it back into a moon to clear the ice. on the fruit level, i used fruit has baba and fruit is sink to sink the flowers, then using baba has baba to destroy all the water and winning that way. Edit: The sprout level too, I used "above" by making a line of babas that runs out so that the baba pushing flag into it would only move once and then i autobabad "baba above baba is move" in and "baba is push" out and i also had a line of babas to act as a relay to push the move into place so i had enough steps. Edit 2: The "Me" level is different now so I used a system of me relays to get the moving baba over and push keke into the system once so that i would regain control on the other side of the bird.

Wow, I managed to find two solutions for Treacherous Wastelands, and neither of them were anything like what Tyler did. I love this game. Besides the (way easier) "baba is baba" solution, I had a "baba has baba" one: I used the entire "fruit is push" text to push a fruit into the bottom left section, while "fruit is baba" was set up above. When that section was done I could easily "rescue" the whole message, with "fruit" being stuck to the wall. Then I did the same to get into the flag section, but instead of rescuing the message, I sacrificed a piece of text to get rid of the top water, leaving me with "is push", which I pushed outside a little bit without losing the baba in there. Then, both avoiding the water and the "is" text (since it was on top of the flowers), I manouvered the outside baba for a while until I got "baba has baba". the water was harmless now, so rescuing the rock was trivial. To actually push it into the flag, though, I had to pull "push" out a bit, and sandwich the rock between "is" and "push", before finally pushing it all the way in and winning the level

Actually I'm pretty sure your solution to Outreach (level 10) isn't the intended one, since it doesn't use "above' at all. Shame, since the intended solution is really cool imo. If they ever fix the level, I think they are going to make it it need more steps before you reach the "husk is foliage" zone, to prevent your solution.

I think the intended key for OUTREACH was "BABA ABOVE BABA IS MOVE". That can work with a mountain of Babas, but your approach is simpler, and I found a different solution which used the "ABOVE" text object as a blocker.
