Doc's coaching of overzealous defense with strenuous offense led to Giannis and Damien getting injured. Griffin understood his players limitations and always avoided giving them too many minutes as a precaution. Remember the viral video of Giannis arguing with Griffin because he didn't want to get benched? Griffin was playing chess with Giannis and Damien while Doc was playing them like action figures.
