It’s such a relief to find a fitness youtuber who just eats what she wants. I enjoy working out and I like a lot of “healthy” food, but eating disorders run in my family so the idea of dieting and restricting is really dangerous for me and much of fitness youtube pushes the idea that if you’re not eating a very specific way, it’s basically pointless.

A few years ago all fitness influencers obsessed over calorie counting and tracking macros so its great that you haven't fallen down that rabbit hole. Not everyone can eat what they want. If I eat what I want I would be overweight (I was lightly overweight when I was a teenie) since I have a really really slow metabolism. Even now I have training 9x week and still cannot eat over 2000kcal without gaining fat. And in these 2000kcal I have to put my 100-120g Protein and 60g healthy fats. Not much left for junk food like Linda eats.

I love working out, and I also LOVE eating desserts and will continue to do so happily :)

I know the reason that I'm overweight is the attitude that I have towards food. I would stress my self of for weeks to eat clean and healthy and then for a while would give into all my cravings.. and at the back of my head I have this idea that I can only cheat today or tomorrow so I try to gobble up whatever I can and then feel like shit afterwards. All I need to do is listen to my body and not be so emotionally connected to food. I need to change my attitude.. and your videos help to bring out that perspective for me.. Lots of love linda ❤️

@Lydia-yl2fl4 жыл бұрын
justthelonelyheart oh my goodness that’s exactly how i felt. since january, i’ve lost 59 pounds. I started starving myself in April, and that went on for 3-4 months (so I started recovering between July and August). I realized i couldn’t live my life by not fueling my body with the energy it needed. So, when i started to eat more in the first few weeks I gained back only 3 pounds. that’s it. i thought i would gain back everything I had lost. please please don’t be afraid, because if you pace yourself you won’t. I started by increasing my calories by 50-100 every few weeks. That way i could allow my body to adjust to eating more. I would gain like a pound but then i would lose it again because i was adjusting. I’ve successfully been able to increase my calories to 1350, and i’m hoping to keep increasing. To give you a little encouragement, since deciding enough was enough and i was done starting myself, i’ve lost another 13 pounds. But, i lost it SLOWLY and the healthy way. I feel so much stronger. So basically these are my tips: Pace yourself, increase your calories by 100 calories every 2 weeks or so, and don’t put so much pressure on yourself. By starving myself, i lost my period. I lost my strength. I was constantly cold and would wake up throwing up stomach acid. Recovering is so much better that making yourself suffer. if there is anything else you need or even just need someone to talk to, don’t hesitate to tell me❤️

I am a huuuuge foodie and i also LOOOVE working out but i am not sure if i can eat whatever i want and still look the way i want to look. Does anyone get what i mean? Like do i have to exercise six hours a day in order to be able to eat intuitively and still have the body i want? Isn't that unrealistic? What i want to know is what is the science and the numbers behind this? I am talking caloric intake and calories burned. How can someone eat intuitively (for me that would be a LOT lmao) and still be skinny without exercising the whole day?? I really hope someone can help me because all that restricting of what i eat is really damaging my mental health.

@@ceciliagomezgonzalez1854 yessss same!!! I never had any problem with my weight but then quaratine hit me. I already lost the extra weight now since i "intuitive eat" and workout. Still no snacks tho bc i'm afraid i will gain those fats back. Also only one rest & cheat day for me.

Hi, it seems like you have a past with eating disorder...just like me. But I feel I need to tell you that I think about you every day, because every day I contemplate eating or not eating certain foods. But then I remember: would Linda be thinking about this? No. So will I eat that? Yes. You help me on my journey to recover immensely. So, THANK YOU.

I think this video is SO important! the way you're dealing with things and everything it feels so good to remember that we won't apologize for eating no more!

Honestly... THANK YOU! Your vibe, your message... so raw, beautiful and important. I’m so happy to see you doing so well. You’re recovery/development is so inspirational for many. If you are at a point, where you can imagine to talk openly about your past eating disorder, I’d love a raw open-talk video about it. But I totally understand that it’s a highly personal and sensitive topic that requires time to process and talk about. Loveee xx

if you eat chia pudding its all about the toppings... here is my toppings: frozen raspberries. chopped up strawberries, hep seeds, honey, and of course peanut butter and granola! chia seed pudding is just a base, like yogurt or oatmeal(unless you make chocolate chia seed pudding which is delish!)

Hi Linda!! I can't believe that I just discovered you now but I am glad that I yt recommended you to me. I have been struggling with my body and eating habits for more than 10 years now. I never ever had a good relationship with food nor my body (but then again with the society we live in, the standards that are pushed down out throats are partly to blame as well. I just wanted to say that you and your family inspired me to do better for my body, to try harder for my health and not to think of food as an enemy. Its still an ongoing process but I hope someday I'll be able to accept and love my body for it is and what it can do for me. Thank you again Linda!! Lots of love from the Philippines ❤️

Good to see another positive influence on KZbin related to food :) It always saddens me to see how many people have a bad relationship with food (from reading comments from your videos and many other KZbinrs plus my own experience as a health worker that also had to help patients with diet recommendations). I'm glad there's more and more people like you online giving good examples and helping people feel better with themselves. Keep up the good work 🤗

Oh my, seeing you being genuinely happy about eating just what you want to eat & not feeling guilty about it is so freaking amazing. It just puts a smile on my face :) Its so common to see people obsessing over food, constantly restricting certain food, and so many of us struggle with EDs, it's terrible. Over the last years I felt like that too - constantly dieting, restricting, working out to burn off what I ate... But rn I finally feel like I'm starting to find some balance and I'm working on having such a good relationship w/ food like u do. Your videos are really helping me with it! After watching this I know I'm gonna eat my ice cream without any guilt and I'm just gonna enjoy it to the fullest. Keep doing what you're doing, sending love and thank u
