I find it interesting when they let us know that Mia and Connor had or were a thing, I wasnt like hardcore shipping them lol but I was ok with them (tho we didnt got to see/learn much about the relationship they had). Now I was really surprised with all this new thing with Mia and JJ and I actually find it more interesting, even more now that someone made JJ remember, I'm really intrigued and I really want to see how he is going to react, if he is going to turn evil again (which Im hoping it wont happen) or fight it, specially now for Mia, I want to see if he is going to decide to stay with her and fight to keep this new life, just like Mia did with him when she remember. Mia is Oliver and Felicity's daughter and JJ is John and Lyla's son. The story happend 20 years after Oliver's. So, yes you are thinking of the right show ;)

Mia is Felicity and Oliver's daughter. JJ is John's son, he originally run the Deathstroke gang in 2040 flashforwards making him and Mia enemies in that timeline (going as far as killing a member of her team). After the Arrowverse got sorta reset in this year's crossover they avoided having shitty lives (Mia was a cage fighter in another timeline), the crime in Star City was non-existent for 20 years, and JJ actually turned out a decent guy in the current timeline. Laurel sorta woke Mia up making her remember her ummm other life and all JJ has done, but she still decided to stand by him since she has memories of both lives. JJ only got awakened by the end of the episode so I have no idea how he's gonna react. Right now they're basically enemies to lovers who didn't even know they were enemies and Arowwerse makes very little sense. xD I probably stopped way before S5 and only picked it up when Kat joined the show.

I stopped watching Arrow after Laurel's death and besides the crossovers and the occasional random scenes or edits on youtube i haven't watched Arrow for years either so it was a little confusing to watch Green Arrow and the Canaries but it was an awesome episode. Kat and Katie are the reason i bothered to watch it but I'm loving the whole vibe of it all. The main thing you need to know is that the universe had a massive reset and things changed on a pretty big level.

He will then try to fight it for Mia, then he'll remember she was with Connor first and that'll bring up the old jealousy that drove him to become Deathstroke. He'll fuck up then wish he could reverse it, feel backed into a corner a revert to Deathstroke. Then because Mia is broody, he'll mistake that for darkness and will be like "be mrs. deathstroke" but by then Mia has fully embraced being the Green Arrow and will have to kill him. Then she'll cry, he'll die and then come back two seasons down the line because apparently Oliver is the only person who stays dead in this universe.
