I'm Filipino but don't travel much, I only get to see these beautiful places in this channel that I didn't even know about. I get mixed feelings about these places, you want the nice people to get more tourists/business, but at the same time too much crowds/pollution might ruin them.

Very true. I haven't been recommending Boracay to friends, because they still haven't gotten their act together. Their pricing scheme over there is a huge scam. Other islands are more deserving of tourism, as you correctly pointed out.

Oh no! After Mergim's video, tourists will be flocking to Leyte 😢 Our best kept secret/s... (fyi, Boracay used to be like those islands, before it got "discovered" by developers.) Best experience in Leyte is to hook up with trekkers and cavers and surfers. But if you're into festivals, Ormoc and Tacloban's fiesta is also coming up.

Good for you can pay 7 k for a little trip in the POOREST PROVINCE IN THE PH....back in my times we were paying max 500 php to 1 k private boat but with my backpacker finest bargain skills will get it in 400 php considering I know the prices of gasoline so for 2 pax it will be 800 php including some fish and rice and bananas water obviously too diba hahahaha...and making new friends Nowadays these new generation travelers just SUCK!!!! NOTE comparing the white sand beaches of El Nido with those in SE Leyte is a little of an exaggeration IS IT BUMPY????? the soft travelers
