I want to thank all of you at Larson Farm. I suspect that you don’t have time to read all of these posts but as someone who has also had significant loss, I want to say how much I appreciate your continued positive attitudes. I feel as I’ve watched you grow from a young man into an adult. You seem to come from good spiritual stock. It shows in your countenance. I’m sorry for your loss. Some of the recent videos have been particularly hard as I think they were made when times were different. So thank you for sharing. I found this poem after my mom passed. On each side of the header there is a yellow sticker that tells you the fill volume of the gearboxes and the change intervals of the gear oil. Also on the small plates that are on each gearbox theres the fill volume in liters. The small gearboxes on the outside always get 1.5l and the bigger ones should be around 1.6 on your header.

Probably should use Food Grade Grease in the augur bearings to avoid contamination in the corn and wheat. And beans too.

You should consider putting cameras on the rears of the big equipment, be a bit safer. My guess on the chopper knives is that they are fixed compared to Deere, which swings. Have a pleasant winter and stay warm.

Chet you were greasing one of the combines. I don't know the number but it was very dificult to get to. The industrial machines i was in charge of that had difficult to reach, we removes the zerk and using small plastic lines and remounted the zerk where it was much easier to service.

You might consider using a torque wrench on the plugs. You are turning steel into aluminum.

They make a roll out bucket that will load trucks like a champ. I'm so cheap I use measuring cups from the dollar store for small amounts of oil. Lol. Carry on.
