I generally only use the officer and carbine variants, but somehow am weirdly attached to use the regular one with fanning, and maybe because I like the copperhead skin.

Why do you say that the nagant revolver has a small bullet capacity for fanning? It litteraly has the third best capacity of all the fannable revolvers in the game after chain pistol and le mat. The true issue for fanning is the relatively high spread and relatively small damage (which sometimes makes a difference when you get arm shots and lower body shots). But it's still pretty good for fanning, even though there are objectively better picks like the conversion pistol or scofield swift (which both have less ammo).

Honestly I don't get fanning enough anyways. I only grab that trait if I wanna run a chain pistol.

@@RingTheGinkster I usually take fanning as a defensive option when I play rifle loudouts. When the enemy rushes you with a bomblance, saber or pushes agressively with a shotgun, you need something to be able to compete with them. I never play single action revolvers without fanning in these loadouts, if I don't have trait points I'd rather take officer or new army. Other option is taking quartermaster and a sawn-off shotgun. Also I don't like to take chain pistol with fanning, I think it's a bit of a trap. It seems like a really good option, but it has the worst fanning accuracy and it is easy to spam your shots and overcommit with it since it has so much ammo. I'd rather take conversion pistol, pax or long barreled scofield. 6 bullets seem like nothing, but many times I have killed two people rushing me at the same time me without reloading. You can absolutely wipe duos with those 6 bullets.
