Jack's life just sucks when you think about it. Even if he dodges the draft after he avenges John, he still will be broke from the great depression, the dust bowl will cause all the crops on the ranch to fail, he will probably lose a few kids to the spanish flu, he will probably lose more to WWII, and if he is lucky, h e will spend his twilight years in constant fear of nuclear annihilation, and die of old age in a world that doesnt even look remotely familiar to anything he ever knew growing up.

John's death for his family IS his redemption. The epilogue of RDR 2 is John rejecting Arthur's sacrifice and only coming to appreciate it when it is too late. John realizes that his recklessness necessitates that he must die so that his family will be left alone. Jack, like John, can't understand this until it is too late. Jack will become as violent as his father was. Jack looking at his gun in suprise before stoicly putting it back in his holster shows him accepting his fate and the meaninglessness of revenge.

So he’d probably live a bad life and meet a bad end as well. Although in my head, maybe he would be the last of the western outlaws. Then head back east to escape the law and become a John Dillinger type criminal. Then maybe go into the war to escape the law. Then have the law catch up to him when he gets back.

The track that plays in the last mission as John "The Last Enemy Shall Be Destroyed" when you're getting your family to the barn is called "Triggernometry". It's so hype. I think Jack has a unique line for when you kill a bear for the first time while playing as him, where he says "I did it, pa.". One of his voice lines for when he's fighting is "My pa knew Landon Ricketts, friend." and he says "I guess I just miss Rufus" when you kill a dog. A lot of his voice lines center around him blaming his problems on how he was raised, saying things like "Blame my parents. I do." and "Sorry, I was raised bad", and his low honor voice lines when he talks to women NPCs are just sexual harassment. Everyone did their best to make sure he turned out okay, and Jack is lashing out at the world now.
