Amidst the chaos of Black Hills Redemption 2024, I managed to sit down with 19 of the cast to chat the event, the fans, and the making of the games.

They truly loved working in Red Dead Redemption 2 and it was even cool that they included the first game. It feels different from the cast of other games, who often get tired of talking about their time in a project, those guys right there loved what they did and I am certain they all stay in touch.

@@IAmQuietWolf tbf that was a really a long time ago before people started to take performance capture in video games seriously and iirc back then they weren't unionised and their agents are the ones who got them bad deals. It's good to hear how they've turned it around and almost all the main actors who worked on GTA V and RDR2 are highly praising Rockstar for how much they loved working there.

God, I'll never get over this damn cast. Everyone is just so personable and charming and have so much fondness for their characters and the game as a whole even years later. They have so much pride for their work and it was just so sweet and wholesome to hear them talking about their characters with such love like Samantha going on about how much she adores Mary Beth and how happy it makes her to know that Mary Beth got to follow her dreams, or like Ben discussing the empathy he feels for Dutch as the world closed in on him and how his refusal to give up on his own misguided certainty ultimately led to him losing everything. It's just so neat to hear the actors themselves speak about their characters in the perspective in which they built them. And just in general, this was easily one of if not the best interviews I've seen of them! I was SO happy to see the faces of both large and small roles, they're all just so lovely. I felt so cozy watching it and had a big smile on my face the entire time. It was in such a nice setting, too, made it feel so much more relaxed and casual than the more typical interviews or panels, and it was brilliantly recorded and edited and the topics that were discussed were all so interesting, so I also want to add my praises for those who worked to actually make this interview and resulting video happen, y'all did a fantastic job!

This game literally saved my life. I was going through a nasty Divorce in 2018 when it came out. I had a dead end job and i was struggling mentally and physically. I was thinking about ending my life. My brother had gotten this game for me for christmas. I played it for hours and beat it. I decided to turn my life around. Went back to college, got a better job. Found someone who loves me and I strive everyday to live my life with high honor and help people.

Glad to see so many actors that had smaller roles at this event. I've never seen a game with better acting than RDR2, and that's because you can tell just how hard they worked at making sure everything was done just right regardless of the size of the role.

I played Red Dead Redemption 2 and am currently playing part 3(have been on a break from part three, but have been trying to figure out lately when to start back up). RDR 2 is my favorite of the trilogy though cause of the quality of the game as far as the graphics and acting. There were times during RDR 2 I felt as though I was watching a movie when doing cut scenes cause of both, again, the graphics quality, but especially the acting. If I had to choose which of the cast I would be, it would be a cross between Arthur and John, Arthur for his straight forward aggressiveness and john for his compassionate side, I am a mix of both for those respective reasons in real life. And, John's Wife Abigail is my kind of woman as far as personality, compassionate, but stands up for the ones she loves and cares about when she needs to. It was cool seeing this to get an inside perspective from the cast regarding their parts when it comes to personality. The RDR franchise is on my personal list of my all time RPGs.

I am Very thankful, eternally grateful and really happy all these beautiful cast of actors and actress aswell as camera crew and everyone involved in Red Dead Rededempiton 2 made it probably the best story driven game i have ever had the pleasure and privilege of playing. I completed the story back in 2022 on ps4 and I loved every second and every minute of it , to the point where i have brought myself to re-downloaded it and am now replaying it again for the second time again , but for the first time on my PS5. Only this time when i have completed the story again, i intend to complete every other bit of the game, especially as i have a guide that will hopefully help me complete everything in the Red Dead Redemption 2 game. When i completed the story as Arthur Morgan I felt rather chocked up with how his life and story ended, even though i fought back the physical emotional side of it ,which I'm not afraid to show as there is nothing wrong with anyone showing their true emotions, it's natural as we are all human imo. However i also felt i had completed something with Arthur Morgan a video character that I will never ever forget aswell as all the other Red Dead Rededempiton characters , but Arthur Morgan in particular. When i completed the story with Arthur Morgan his character made a big, huge , massive effect and impact on me and my life that i will never ever forget. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a real gem of a game , the most realistic game i have ever played and playing as Arthur Morgan and / or your online characters really makes you feel like your living the outlaw cowboy 🤠 life for real. What an amazing experience and journey. I love antagonising the camp , especially miss grimshaw with how she and all the rest of the camp reacts and to see all their hilarious responses. I have a bear hat and whenever they give me negative comments i antagonise them and follow them around camp , i even stand in their way and stare at them to get them 😤😡 if they comment anything negative about Arthur Morgan and him wearing his crafted bear hat . My Favourite line when antagonising miss grimshaw " I remember when you were dutch's number one Miss grimshaw" , also "you sour old hag", "damn, your old" and her responses e.g. " little boys and their little games" , "why are you doing this?" E.T.C.

Well, if you're going just by RDR2, then I'd say you're justified in not recognizing Abigail in Sophia's voice. She only played Abigail in RDR1: Cali Elizabeth Moore voiced/performed Abigail in RDR2.

I’m still just in so much shock and awe that they make the characters look SO similar to their voice actors. I love that you can see the resemblance between actor to character… I know they have to do a lot of movement detail and they do that special thing to take actual features from the actors and apply them to the characters but I just think that is so cool. We have a real life Van der Linde gang..😭❤️
