Great intro! Good boat review. Honest. I would love to hear your take on what you look for when deciding on whether to go, or not go, in rough weather on Santee....I gotta get down there soon!!!!

I bought a '21 Targa V19. Santee Cooper will be one of my destinations. I went with the vinyl flooring upgrade as well. It's a wise choice for catfishing. Thanks for the review!

I have a tracker 2072 with a ton of upgrades. It’s not the prettiest boat but since I’m married and not at party cove who cares. People say welds on tracker aren’t good but I’ve ran up on stumps, etc. Only have minor scratches. I like the things you’ve done to yours. Good video!

I got the same boat but a 1990 and had to rebuild the floor and the transom, I love it great on fuel and fun to fish out of. Just not a lot of room for more than 2 people.

Great boats! I have the pro guide V16WT. Definitely handles rough water nicely. The only reason I would want a bigger boat is so I could comfortably carry more than 1 other person and still fish. One of these days I'll make it down there to fish Santee!

Earned a subscriber! Great set up - love the Bimini for some shade and rain protection. The light bar attached was icing on the cake! Curious how much anchor you need for the 16’ boat? Big fluted anchor? Box anchor? Any problem with the rod racks set up that way? I’m assuming you have a plate underneath the floor for more rigidity. Thanks again - looking forward to catching up on your other videos!

I just bought a 2021 boat just like yours, it does have a 50 Merc and I will be honest, I bought it after watching this video. I have fished Santee Cooper once a year for the past 7 years now. I like to brim fish early spring. i am wanting to make some upgrades as you did but cant afford some of them. I like the lights you have added and the monster fish holders. I live in Florida and fish Lake George and Lake Kerr. What would be the best upgrades to start with? I want to start fishing for Kats and plan on coming back up to Santee this fall. Its about a 4 hour run for me but its worth it. Santee is one beautiful lake. Any help or advise you could give me would be great. At the age of 66 I feel like you never get to old to ask for help or advise.
@Jims_catfishing3 жыл бұрын
Wow , that's so cool my video helped you out. I would get the rod holders first, monster makes the brackets there on as well . Thanks for watching and good luck.

Did that point 1 make the speed more accurate? I have an Elite TI2 12 inch also, and when I'm doing winter drifting at below .5, it seems to read water across the transducer instead of actual speed over the water. I can literally be sitting still, and it will show .6 mph. Also, does that 20 inch light bar stow while it's on the bimini? Or, do you have to take it off to fold down the top? Thanks for the reviews, I really enjoy them.
@Jims_catfishing3 жыл бұрын
The light bar does stow , it folders in pretty easily, yes the point one has a more accurate speed . Thanks for supporting the channel
