the intro is so relatable. im not even kidding, im programming a unix like operating system right now (im currently improving the VFS and adding the last couple syscalls before i can get newlib ported) just so i can write basic programs. i literally just want to do like a tic tac toe program or something (and eventually probably port actual applications over), but that sounds boring so i took the long route...

Setting sail as a Soldier of Fortran, I see... Wouldn't mind seeing this as a free-sailing experience with customizable environmental options. Sort of like the NatureMixer of nautical adventures, with a day/night cycle or adjuster.
