After cracking my Carbon frame I went to a Knolly, don't see myself going back to carbon. Knolly's are rugged & high quality. One thing they are is a heavy frame so I would suggest building with the lightest wheelset for your application. After dropping the Knolly on some sharp edge granite and getting barely a scratch, I feel I have made the best purchase for me.

In defense of carbon and Knolly.. Not all carbon is created equally. My 2019 Knolly carbon Warden is a fricken tank. I cased a huge gap drop - in a viscuous fashion-I'm talking concussion ,torn shoulder, bruised hip. A lesser bike would have lost the head tube.. my Knolly was unperturbed. Still shredding

I completely agree on wishing there were more nicely spec'ed aluminum bikes. I personally think carbon is overhyped, and I kinda wish it didn't exist as I think aluminum represents a better value for most people. Not to mention how much easier it is to recycle than carbon if it does break... And now it seems we have a trend of more bikes only being released with carbon frames which is sad to see.

@@meganNefarious yeah I'm not a carbon hater, it's an excellent material. But the title of the video says "you don't need carbon" as though prevailing logic suggests otherwise. Another youtuber said "make sure you have an enduro bike with 160mm of travel for this trail" which is ideal, but I rode that trail in the 90s on a hardtail with cantilever brakes. My point is that elitism in the sport is the norm, and I don't think people realize that poor people like mountain biking too.

I'm here for the fake cracked frame stories (or the ones where they conveniently leave out dead sailoring into the back of a landing) in the comments where people act like carbon is glass.

You should get a Pyga Slakline. It is aluminum and super sick! I felt so smooth and comfortable on it compared to my Yt jeffsy. It is also a better climber. I can throw that thing around so easily and it is so fun to ride. If I were you I would look into them. Their Instagram is: @pygausa

Best bike I have ever ridden. My friend likes it better than his Capra and Zink’s old tues that he has.
