EC stands for Electro capacitives, similar to topre, thats why its not hot swappable. I remember it was first made in collaboration with gateron and then eventually they removed the gateron name from it. Love varmilo boards for when i want to get someone a good board that doesnt require modding and has some good color to it instead of a cleaner black or grey.

I've had this for a while. I'm actually using it to type right now. I have an older one. I would like one of the EC ones. Varmilo makes the best prebuilt keyboards as far as aesthetics and quality go. Their key caps are amazing.

sound wise this thing is damn good for a pre built and I assume the switches are fine as well. Not a fan the appearance, though that is heavily subjective. I wish my friend got these switches and not the awfully loud clicky ones in his 65% varmilo. Awesome vid as always and cant wait for whatever vid comes next.

i have a hot swap 65% from varmilo and literally the only thing i had to do was replace the gateron yellows with some gold pinks at the stabilizer keys it’s perfect for someone who’s clumsy and terrified of opening a case like me lol

Varmilo started offering some hot swap keyboards recently, the minilo line is hotswap and so is chang’e … of course this only applies to non-ecv2 switches, so getting the cherry or kailh etc switches will give you access to hotswap

Its not hotswappable because their switches are a special type of Electo Capacitives
