As a former surgical tech I was always fascinated by the actual procedure of the surgeries, and the surgeons who taught as they worked. We rarely got to see the after healing results but when Nate does a follow-up it comes to a satisfying conclusion. Thanks Professor Nate!!!

I like that you talked about how you don't remove as much loose horn as others so as not to damage the foot. It reminded me of what I tell my hair dresser: better to cut too little than too much. You can always take off more, but you can't put it back.

As far as being conservative with your cuts go, I definitely appreciate it. I have no idea if the cows do, but it looks to me to be a much less harsh experience for the cow. As a professional I'm sure you don't want to call anybody out, that's not what the video is about, but the extra degree of caution and care is both visible and appreciated. On another note: at 4:26 check out the other cows checking out the whole trimming experience! They look so curious about what is going on, it is adorable.

You mentioned it's an odd location for a lesion. There were a couple other times I remember videos of too, but I don't recall what was said about causes. What could cause a lesion to happen, not just in that spot or claw, but both at once? From your commentary, sounds like that may not have been exactly a surprise, but definitely something you rarely see.
