It's just a matter of people not understanding the new bosses mechanic. I didnt get it at first either, so I would up i-framing that burst, and brute forcing his healthbar, but I can see how people might struggle to do that. The best way to deal with this boss is having a Natlan character, or bring a dedicated team of fast/off-field attackers.

I finished the abyss without a single natlan character,even xilonen I played with navia chiori at the first half and clorinde overload "all at c0" And for chasca's boss, you can go to the edge, and you will not get hit by him .

I think the point is its Easier with Natlan characters but it is possible with others it's just annoying to do it even if you have fast attacking characters. In my case I have high ping so it's even harder because hits register later than they should making it harder to fight kinda like how the Echoes set is ping reliant it makes it not that good because of that restriction but it works

I brute forced it with Mono Geo but needed a full 2 minutes to do it and i use of the technique. Ayato, Furina, Xilonen + Flex melts side 1 in under a minute. Still my characters are very well built. I can fully understand the frustration and am annoyed about the lineup myself.

Tip for dodging the nuke attack: just go as far away as possible from the boss. Just walk around the border of the chamber and you should be fine

I still can destroy the abyss with my Hu Tao. Also old teams like International or Raiden hypercarry still work extremely well up to this day. Also hyperbloom is always OP. It all comes down to the fact that there is no real endgame. The abyss 12 is like a longer daily mission in terms of difficulty for veteran players. If we had floors 13-16 then the difficulty would be so high that you'd probably need to have the correct units for each challenge and those would probably be the latest released characters.

@@noctisarcanus7894 yeah I don’t think your idea of 13-16 is fun since I’m already seeing people complain about this abyss which I think is alright. It combines difficulty and strategy decently well, not perfect since strategy here is really just have the right characters.

I'd say that's true for most abyss cycles but not this one. I brute forced the Papilliae thing with some 5* that are C3 to C6 and the timer was close. And If I didn't have Furina I don't know if I could beat that pyro dragon in time. If Wolf Lord spawns it's heads it takes at least 90 seconds to kill because of the delays. In other Abyss I usually clear each sides of each chamber in 40-50 seconds.

Burning, Taser or Hyperbloom is enough for that flower. Yelan, Xingqiu, Fischl, Nahida, Xiangling, Keqing, Clorinde, Collei, Amber, Venti, Emilie, Kinich, Chasca all work to eat that shield.

For those who like myself cannot use most of what this guy showed off. Cloriande or 99% of the video Arlecchino. You can use any Hyperbloom team. For a 4 Star only that works. Xinqui, Dendro Traveler, Kuki and Colia (Dendro Amber). Swap with your better units accordingly.

Chevreuse Overload also works great; what matters is number-of-hits. Fischl does plenty, Chevreuse burst is like 15 hits by itself, Xiangling can do lots of hits, too.

It wasnt about the main dps, you can use the same team with Raiden instead of clorinde or double hydro with just Yelan on field. It was more to show the mechanics of destroying the shield not a 1:1 copy of what you should do.

It is just a very annoying type of boss gimmick, just like Wenut with its mechanic to get it to land on the ground. The fact that it's biased towards nightsoul characters is even stupider because by this time next year we'll be getting characters from an entirely different region and they won't have any more nightsoul.

If you used kachina or ororon burst it would do just as well. Just because they dont do a lot of dmg off field doesnt mean their not off field characters. Yes there not doing much for the team besides hold scroll but you can manage perfectly fine without the extra dps

Ororon does some decent off field damage with cons, just dont know how many people are going to have him since summoning for Chasca and Lyney right before archon isnt a good idea

from what ive played if you do not get rid of the shield during the start the fight is not possible to 3 star unless your a whale. Ive been using Arleccihino c0 r1 with yelan (elergy), Xingqui and bennet and cant even take out the shield still the amount of hits is not getting through the starting phase

Its because it gets 80% res, if you have Kazuha, Xilonen, Zhongli any 2 of them together will work to get rid of the res and make it possible to 3 star

If that's the only chamber you have left, you can also use the Anemo main character to help clear. Their C6 (that you get from quests and other in-game activities) is 20% resistance shred on their burst that stacks on top of Viridescent Venerer for 20% resistance shred.

@@TheGenshinIdiot fair, I ignore everything in the archive too outside of any entry that pop-up when encountering a new enemy. they just often have very obscure weaknesses like the invisible triangle for example, how else are you supposed to notice that idiot's invisibility has another weakness outside of quicken? ( once you break the objects electro alone breaks the invisility and stuns it)

Alr so i finally managed to do a 6 character run but damm it has been a while since i haven't been able to clear thz abyss with 4 characters also i didn't use arle!!! I used neuv proto amber, furina pwj and xilonen r1 first half Yelan r1, nahida r1 and kuki xipjos second half Without sig weapons it should also be possible but just a bit harder

i am surpirsed people have struggled on this abyss as i did not find it to different than the others but you definitely don't need natlan characters. I used the same team iv been using since 4.7 arle (c0 r5 white tassle ), yae (c0 widsith), chevruse (c0 blacktassle), fischl (skyward harp r1) and beat the second half rather easily, the most annoying part for me was the golden wolf lord since geo is required ending my 200+ day streak of nilou bloom and arle overload. i think the reason people find this hard is the geo restriction and the fact that the Tenebrous Papilla hits like a truck and moves super fast

Well thats why you only do it on the team thats reducing the res by a lot, from what I've heard its 80% res and Xilonen + Kazuha decrease the res by 76%.

Dunno how you lot get over 100k damage consistently, think ive only gett round 30-50k with arle, I have most of the characters at 90, and I thought I got some reasonable artifacts, only using 4 star weapons, though, and some crafted ones at r5. only c0, though I do have some cons on some characters. Maybe I need 5 star weapons and better artifacts I'm guessing🤷🏻‍♂️, I'm f2p

I used neuvillette and nahida hyperbloom: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2S2kICNfaeCbK8 In second half you can also use aggravate, raiden national, arlecchino hypercarry, etc. Having yelan and fischl is very comfortable for second half. For first half Furina and Xilonen make a great difference for comfort gameplay. Navia hypercarry with furina bennett xilonen is very comfortable too. This abyss is difficult, but at least they didn't put the abyss baptist; in that particular case, we would have been doomed. Anyway, well done and good work👍
