I think that guilty ppl don't want to tip the detectives off by remaining silent. They want to give the appearance that they are not guilty and so they choose to talk. They think that if they remain silent or ask for an attorney, they will look guilty.

why would some stranger mean to shoot a 5 year old child they didnt know. If someone wouldve been that close to be able to see their eyes widen, then Im sure they wouldve been able to accurately make the shot at the right target. Im sure if they meant to shoot the woman they couldve.
