When I was teenager in the 80's, listening to Priest, one day my Mom walks into my room and asks "Why does he he sing 'I'm your terrible lover'? To this day, I still sing it as 'terrible lover'. Thanks Mom.

To be fair Rob took care of himself, Vince and the rest of the band were always messed up even during shows. After awhile that shit takes you down. So unfortunately for Vince he got the shit end of the stick and just let himself go (in more ways than one) and I love the Crüe and glad I’ve seen them multiple times when I did and as much as I’d like to see them at the stadium tour (whenever that is) I think I’ll just stick to my last time seeing them was at MSG for their “final tour” lol

Go back and watch Motley live,back in the mid 80s. Vince wasn’t great back then,either. He Had zero diaphragmatic support. Always had the audience sing parts for him. That’s a dead giveaway how bad a singer is.

@Metalshreder777
@Metalshreder777 3 жыл бұрын
@@johnjablonski553 Yes that is true as KK now has KK Priest and Glenn`s health mostly prevents him from preforming. The comment reflects my view of the of the harmony/synchronicity between KK and Glenn when they would perform together, something that the current line up may lack. Richie and Andy are both extraordinary guitarists but in my opinion lack that ability. Again "not downing the band" in any way and grateful that they are still performing , especially on their 50th. anniversary. Like the saying goes.....no one plays it better than the guy or guys that wrote the song.

I see lots of ppl commenting and comparing Vince Neal to the Metal God. Well lets all just get real here for a moment. Vince never has been nor will he ever be in the same league like Rob, RJD, and Bruce Dickinson. Yes time catches us all and no they don't sound as good as in there primes. But these 3 alone will endure and have given rise to the next great generation of Heavy metal musicians and fans alike. Vince will never obtain this stature but instead will be only remembered for what he became not what he was. Watch the video Hear N Aid, Rob and Vince are standing next to each other. Vince tries to compete with the Metal God and Fails!.

Man "turbo lover" omfg, I remember the first contact with it. Round about at the end of the 1980. I was in the basment searching for something, but I can´t remember exactly what. However I opened one box after another when suddenly one of several of my brothers mixtapes tapes caught my attention. It read Judas Priest, Motörhead, Tankard and more. Mhhh mumbling let ´s give it a try and put it the tape deck and the first sound I heard was the flange effect of "Turbo lover" I am in love with that track since then...thanks bro for let me have that mind blowing tape

I have a similar love of a band that my brother in law introduced me to. I love those memories also. Just a heads up - turbo didn't come out until around 1986. Our minds are getting older now. I confuse things all the time

@@Plowguitarist Well, pedantic details aside, I think you missed the spirit of my comment. What I was trying to say that it was hardly predictable that they'd last for 20 years let alone 50, especially back then when it was rare for any band of that type to last. Now, as for the more technical matter. I was referring to "guys" as in the loose collection of band members that comprise the group, Judas Priest. Given the band has been in existence for 50 years, I think having 40% of the original members is admirable and meets quorum to keep the name. By the way, Ray Charlies has been dead for over 17 years. He's not seeing much.

I love when people bitch and complain they are old or have no energy. Jesus Christ, we all get old and slow down. Let them rock. If I was a rock star I'd do the same thing. I'm not gonna stop playing my guitar because I get old lol Rock till you die, if you can. Why not! I admire all these old guys even more, that they are still doing what they love. Iron Maidens new album, Megadeth, Metallica just turned 40 and celebrating 30 years of the Black Album release etc.

Problem is, Richie is 41 and Andy 52. Ian was never "part" of the stage show as he has always hung back and held down the rhythm section. Maybe it was an off night, but Richie just looks bored. Maybe it's because Richie and Andy have no real connection to the older music, who knows. Rob is not what he once was, but he's doing it...the rest of the guys need to really pick up the pace and at least look like you want to be there. Look at guys like Sammy Hagar, Alice Cooper, Paul Rogers...all in their 70's and still energetic and entertaining live so these "younger" guys need to act their age, lol.
