I was trying to think back and remember the first time I saw JP live as well as the opening act, I'm pretty certain it was 1984 Defenders of the faith with Great White. After that I haven't the slightest idea how many times I've seen them since, it's been a lot especially if you include Halford solo stuff and the Ripper years plus October 25th of this year.

@@matthewpalm7484 it's always pretty cool when someone younger finds a band like JP, I saw them twice on this tour. I was up close both times, I'm still blown away how good they sound. Did Glen Tipton come out at the show you were at? I have a feeling KK will be back at some point, at least I hope he will. If that happens that will be very close to the classic lineup, definitely go see that.

I scope no other technological improvement like key adjustment or autotuning ( which can be done live actually ) For the record, their almighty legendary but infamous "unleashed in the east" was greatly overdubbed ( guitar and voice ) to sound more accurate to the album... ( kiss does the same BTW )... so Priest is no stranger to "improving" Halford sound...even in 1979

A plus is clearly audible. And I have big doubts that Rob sings all this live, especially the high notes. It started with the Firepower tour. Here and there a slight out of sync or studio is noticeable. I really hope that this is nothing more than a way to improve the quality a little, and Rob did not start doing such things in his old age.

That's just copious amounts of echo and reverb to make it sound fuller than it really is. It's not prerecorded, if it were it would have been identical between gigs, which it isn't. You can easily compare this version with Bloodstock, for instance. The truth is, he goes full on falsetto on those bits these days and it would sound weak without the effects.

awful .. . they live on just milking the cow , after Painkiller everything has been uninspired and lame. Cant compare these decadent performance on how they were decades ago. Also Have seen them live after 2005 many times... tears of deception every time. But well.. they need your cash !!
