I’ve wrecked the all fall/winter this year like never before. I swim it slowly at different levels of the water column regularly. I prefer ponds and rivers personally with this bait.

The Sleeper Gill is a nice lure at an affordable price. I do not however, throw it on 6 lb test. The lightest line I throw it in is 12 lb test. The bigger size I throw on 17 lb test. The bigger lure is not a light lure. Throwing it on 6 or 8 or 10 lb test, you are asking for trouble (IMO). The 3 inch is the size I do the best on. But Randy is right, this lure is the best and it performs very well for me here in KY.

You can rig up a A-Rig with the gills and it’s a wolf pack killer. Only thing you better have a big reel the right rod and heavy line and be ready🤙🏼🤙🏼

@@jameslencke9098. Like melts??? 🤔 to you mean like the ZMan SP do because it says on the package to not mix with other SP or store in the clamshell it comes in even though it is on the packaging but it’s common sense also.

I just bought these. I haven't used them yet. This video just dropped. The timing..... How different is this from say, a Storm WildEye Shad? I know its better quality. If it's as effective, I'll be pretty sold immediately. I'm a younger angler, not against FFS at all. I prefer stats over feelings. A Milliken guy. That being said, you handled that debate better. He got hot, you didn't. Youre a much better teacher, and even though i prefer the stats, you describe methods so much better. Honestly, you won that debate, and i wasn't happy about it. But you're right, the tech takes away the grind, the learning curve. I started fishing 3 years ago. I'm from a nasty ghetto. Fishing didn't exist there. Ill get a kayak this year and god willing, a boat in 26. Natural progression. Youre the real thing. And thats coming from an opp(someone in a group who opposes you). I choose to be a fan of both old and new school. Youre an OG.

If u prefer stats over feelings, here's a stat for u...Fish populations are declining, and will be rapidly declining year after year with FFS becoming so popular with unskilled anglers. .combined with out of control numbers of tournaments, it's common sense that fish populations will suffer dramatically.. think about your fishing future & fisheries being the "dead sea"..not something to look forward to as fishermen

The sleeper is a solid lure. It's not head and shoulders above the storm lures, but it's enough that it'll get you an extra fish or 2 here and there.
@thequixoticangler3364
@thequixoticangler3364 9 ай бұрын
@@andybales7318 That's an awfully apocalyptic view. And it's also not backed by stats. Why you mad, bro? Your response seems angry. Whether you like it or not, FFS is now a necessity if you're a TA. I don't use it because I don't fish deep. It's basically ineffective under 7-8ft. I'm on a boat with pros twice a week. I work at a shop. I've yet to see FFS "win" a day. These guys can fish. FFS is a tool, it's not magic, you still have to get them to bite.

I have a question and a video suggestion. I just got back into bass fishing so most of my tackle I bought years ago and where I thought it was expensive back them what lures cost these days is insane. What do pro's do when they get hung up, just break off? What suggestions can you make regarding getting unhung if any? I think a video on this would be a great idea if you have not done one already.

First, definitely learn the technique of snapping the line so it throws line back towards your lure. Then also get you a couple of plug knockers/ lure retrievers. Or make them. There’s a lot of YT videos about making them.?
