I had a "friend" who took it upon herself to reach out to me around my birthday in April to see how the girls were gonna celebrate. We planned to meet on a Saturday night. I reached out to her on Wednesday to see if we were still on for Saturday, and she said "so far" ( red flag #1). Then on Saturday afternoon she hit me up and asked if we were still on for the night, and I told her yes and that I was running errands, but would be heading home shortly to shower and get ready. Next thing I knew my phone started ringing, but I was driving and couldnt pick up, so she texted me immediately after talking some shit about she gonna need to postpone cuz she wasnt feeling well (red flag #2). If you knew you were gonna cancel, why ask if we were still on? You coulda just said you weren't feeling well from the jump. Mind you, my celebration had already been postponed once, so now we talkng dam there a month after my bday when they wanted to celebrate. I was pissed and told her let's just cancel and don't worry about us hanging out. She apologized and claimed she didn't want to get anyone sick. That's bullshit cuz she's pulled this stunt before when we were supposed to hang out with the girls. She even admitted to me one time that she was "low energy"and feeling down, so she has a habit of this. She'll be all hype about going out, then claim illness. I never responded to her apology text, and to this day, we haven't spoken, nor do I plan to ever again, or any of the other girls cuz I'm better off alone and drama free. She's Virgo so her bday coming up soon. I hope she doesn't reach out or expect a response if she does. My dark side contemplated pretending i wanna hang out then cancel on her, but i fint even eant contact. I say all this to say, when they envy you, it comes out in all kinds of ways. She knows I just purchased my 2nd home (she renting a house). I work from home ( she goes in 5 days a week), and barely have a commute when I do go in (she has a long commte daily) so she basically turned on me. I was encouraging and we even talked about how i was healing and leveling up my life. I'm glad she did this cuz I didn't expend too much energy on her and the rejection was God's protection.
