Absolutely agree! Most Aussies are really authentic. Especially interested in you if you come from another country (especially EU). I also found Melbourne to bw thw safest city I've lived in. By the way you are a proper Italian in your gesturing! Aahahah

In Melbourne we love 'small talk' with strangers. When I was in the city the other day I had three conversations with strangers -- one with a person when we were in transit discussing places where we have lived, the next in a cafe where we discussed health care and the last in a bookshop where we discussed education and the ancestry of family trees. Melbournians are so friendly and not for the reason of getting your money such as in a retail service. I LOVE living in Melbourne, Australia !

Interesting, I didn't have the same impression when I was in London. Maybe because I don't like small talks so Londonians left me alone. I love both London and Berlin.
