I have a severe case of os trigonum syndrome and have been out of gymnastics for two years because of it. I’ve had one surgery and been in boots/casts since. I’m having a complete removal this Thursday but my recovery will be so long… I’ll be put into a cotton not water proof cast right after surgery and will be non weight bearing for 6 weeks then after hopefully I can get a walking boot :)

OMG IM GONNA CRY!! It makes me so incredibly excited that you're gonna join me on this journey 🥺❤ I am so sorry that happened to you. Now that I have reflected on it, I see every injury or setback in my career as a test from the universe. Will you allow it to stop doing what you love? or will you overcome this obstacle and come out stronger on the other side? YOU have the power to say, "the is NOT how my story will end". I am so proud of you for continuing to reach your dreams, we're in this together 🤞

You are fkn awesome 👏 Are this days on point? I had the same surgery about 2 or 3 years ago and I was really scared my doctor told me to be careful and don’t do much because it could damage my Achilles’ tendon because it was weak after the surgery and I don’t know I freaked out I guess and I didn’t do anything and I wear a surgery boot for a lot of time and I start working out using my ankle like 2 months later luckily I didn’t miss much in that time because it was during the pandemic and there were no sports and I was able to play soccer when everything start going back normal. But a couple of months ago I had an ankle injury playing soccer (now my other ankle) and I been refusing to think that it’s because of the same reason, I been refusing to think that I need another surgery even though I know I have the same extra bone on my right ankle too and I been trying different things, a lot of physical Theraphy, dry needles, cupping, just trying to make me believe is just an ankle sprain and that I will get better and it did help me not gonna lie but it’s been a few weeks ago since I hasn’t feel any change at all, I can play in this condition but it’s painful and it’s the worst feeling to do something that you love and feel pain for doing it I been thinking on giving up on this dream more than once, I know I need that surgery but I been really afraid of going through that process again because I had that mentality of a long process of recovery after the surgery, on my first time I start playing soccer after 4 months. I didn’t believe that this time could be different but after seen you going through the same process twice and doing it in a lot less time of course working hard, but working hard was never the problem. you really are inspiring, you really help me with this video, thank you so much for letting me know I can do it again, I really hope you are doing well and living your dancer dreams🩰 I promise you I will always work hard to make mines come true⚽️

Hi, I had my so trigonum removed 5 days ago along with them taking our one of my ligaments in my ankle in the same surgery. I watched your video before and it really helped me get prepared. When I went home they didn’t put me in a cast just crutches. And now 5 days later I can walk quite well with some pain. I play football and haven’t played in almost 3 months cause we tried to wait for it to heal. Thanks for the video it really helped me out. Next week I’m going to start PT. you really helped me so much and am also trying to get back flexibility in my Achilles And ankle but still a long way to go since it’s only day 5. Thanks you so much for the video

Don't be too hard on yourself! I know exactly how you feel, and I am in the same position for the summer program I'm going to. Like I said in the video, life is NOT NORMAL right now, and it is totally normal to feel this way. Of course there are days where you gotta push yourself, but there are others where you need to take a step back and take a breather. I know it's easier said than done, but be kinder to yourself, especially in the times we're in right now. Know that you are NOT alone, and your mental health and well-being is priority over ANYTHING.
