This is a great idea. I have at least 3 organization pouches at the bottom of my bag that goes with me everywhere. I move them to different bags frequently and recently thought about putting them into a larger stuff sack type bag that would make it easier to move between bags, but harder to access the contents. This is a much better solution. I also like the idea of hanging them on the backseat of a car or on a tree at camp where they would be available for immediate access.

I just ordered the large. I am going to put a thin sheet of stainless steel "expanded metal" inside to add light weight rigidity and to give me a nice big grill top in my bug out bag. Great review as always! You are a "natural" at gear review!

Sweet, I am going to put this on my messenger bag to keep my molle large EDC bag from shifting inside. Then when I go to a Radio Tower Site I can add my other molle bags. I am liking the idea of hanging an additional one it in my garage also so I don't have to go looking for the other molle items in all my bags.

Whats with all the knock off gear latley? HPG have had these out for years. Made in USA by first spear, better quality and lighter than molle. They also provide support through a hpde sheet inside them.

Finally! What a great idea! I love Vanquest bags, because of the quality, but all that internal velcro gets to be much. To me, the sound of velcro is like nails on a chalkboard. Well done 511.

Nice, looks like they come in black as well. The first thing I thought of was putting my headrest through that handle to have an organizer in my back seat. My first aid kit and a few other tool pouches are currently just sliding around in my trunk.

Randy Yeager They cost about 20% more. But I think, the HPG ones are better. A velcro loop field with a lasercut PALS grid. I think more versatile, cause you can mix velcro and PALS attached pouches.

Finally! Now I can carry a Water Bladder INSIDE my ALICE Ruck instead of it rubbing between the pack and the frame. Also, that hole between the two sides? Think you could shove a decent size tarp or a poncho and liner if you fold them flat. Thanks for the info!

The concept is good... but I wished, it has more rigidness. I purchase the same panels from Miltec with a hybrid of velcro and Molle and a thin kydex plate inside.

neat little insert. I prefer to have my pouches separate. Seems like this just takes more space. Now attaching this onto a vehicle on a back door or something is doable.
@EverymanGear

Wheels gone Wild Exactly!! Condor did actually make something similar. I bought a big one on clearance ($12) and carefully punched rivets through it. Was able to mount it on the back hatch of my Sequoia! If you have ever seen how expensive it is to buy the molle attachment hardware you would know that this is a great alternative. Also, the molle attachment hardware seems to be specifically for the Toyota FJ and the Jeep Wrangler.
@EverymanGear
@EverymanGear 7 жыл бұрын
Wheels gone Wild .....Here's a link. It comes with pouches too. While this insert would not allow you to put a giant bag on it and still close it, if kept in the open format, you could attach larger items to it. www.condoroutdoor.com/va7packinsert.aspx

Nice! I carry a Hazard 4 Second Front Backpack. This would be a great way to organize my EDC or travel gear - without spending a lot of money, of course. Just need to measure the main compartment to make sure it fits. Thanks for posting this review! On or off duty, ALWAYS READY!!! God bless...

The slot at the bottom may be for ballistic plates, kinda as a shield. Most, if not all, 5.11 bags have a water bladder compartment but WITHIN that compartment there’s a slot to put a ballistic plate in, so if your attacked from behind and they shoot your back, your protected. Your water bladder won’t be though haha

I would love to see you review a (shock) Ozark Trail 45 liter backpack. I know you are thinking what a piece of junk! Well I saw one today while I was at Wally World that really got me excited as it looked somewhat professionally designed. It had an adjustable harness with moveable chest straps both in the horizontal and even better vertical position. I know you are often complaining because of chest strap positioning because of your longer torso. Problem appears solved. Has a lot of pouches, huge yellow dump pouch, side pockets with tie straps so that you could put bottles as talll as a big thermos ( that was the tallest bottle I could find to put in there) and a pocket for a huge water container inside with a water resistant if not waterproof pouch (plastic I think so likely waterproof) and a professional looking seal between the interior and exterior for the bite valve and hose to pass thru (labeled with a cute little water symbol) down ghe left arm strap. it even had a rain cover hidden in a bottom pouch. I did not look carefully enough to see if there were extra straps top or bottom for bedroll/foam pad or and additional tarp or other item on the bottom either. It was so nice I almost purchased it then and there! I will try to find the model # and send it to you if I can.

I like the concept and I can see how it could have it's uses in certain cases (example in vehicle), but in backpacking scenario, looks like a huge waste of space and weight. All that nylon adds up. If space and weight not a concern and organization top priority, then go for it.
