The argument of Brady versus Belichick is stupid at this point. Fact: if Tom Brady played for the New England Patriots this past season, The New England Patriots would not be in the playoffs, or at best they squeak in and lose the first game. Bottom line, New England has to rebuild. They did not have the line to protect Brady nor did they have the offensive weapons. Meanwhile, Brady went to a team that was already stacked with talent, he recruited other talented players, and won a Super Bowl. Don’t get me wrong, I picked Tampa Bay to win the Super Bowl back in August before the season even started. So I’m proud of Brady‘s success. But Tom Brady was not going to win with this version of the New England Patriots. They had less talent this past season than they did the season before when they were one and done in the playoffs, and Brady threw a pick six. He threw that bad pass because he had no protection and rushed the throw.

New England actually had a better defense then Tampa Bay with a much harder schedule. I would argue there is a much higher chance they make the playoffs if Brady is their QB then them missing it. Even with the lack of weapons chances are the Patriots wouldn't be near the bottom in points per game with Brady like they were with Cam.

The problem with that is Brady’s record without him is 0-0. And we’re assuming 1 player made a difference bc of Bill’s performance prior to 2001. If you count after ‘01 his record looks far better which supports the claim that he is a far bettter coach now than he was 25+ years ago...or not, and maybe he’s the exact same coach but the numbers don’t support that.

David Benitez I could see if Brady was a playmaker and created offense on his own but throwing 5-15 yard passes and getting the ball to playmakers isn’t really grounds to say someone wins hundreds of games by themselves. Not only that, I’ve seen him perform well and lose and perform bad but win, which means defense, offensive line, weapons and coaching are all factors. I’m not buying 1 person making that much of a difference bc if it were true why isn’t it always consistent, and why don’t they win every single game.

At 6:27, Max Kellerman is right on the money. They won 11 games in 2008 with a guy who hadn't started at QB since high school. Also, they went 3-1 in 2016 when Brady was suspended. Also, for the people who say "Well, Brady won without Belichick", what about the last two years? First round exits at home. However, you Brady Jockers don't want to talk about that, or the fact that he is the only QB to lose to a 9-7 team in the Super Bowl. Brady went to the right team in the 2000 NFL Draft. If he went somewhere else, we probably aren't talking about him today because he would have been forgotten.

The “Matt Cassel won 11 games” argument is one of the worst in sports. Other than quarterback, the 2008 team returned 19 of its other 21 starters from the 2007 team. But they still went from 18 wins to 11, a 39% drop off. If a team lost its starting quarterback and went from 10 wins to 6 (an equivalent drop), would anyone be talking about what a great coaching job that was?

No because winning 6 games has nothing to do with this. It's only 6 wins not 11 wins. Being able to still win 11 games without your starting quarterback is impressive especially since the quarterback position is supposedly the most important position in football. Winning 11 games in a NFL season puts you in the playoffs 9 times out of 10. So yea as long as Belichick coaches the Patriots can win another Super Bowl without Brady. Brady is the most overrated player of all time.
