When we hear or auscultate Rales, I immediately think of two things: fluid in the lungs or a potential infection. Congestive heart failure has rales aka crackles but so does pneumonia. In this video, we breakdown two emergency medical cases and we decide who is having a congestive heart failure event versus a pneumonia patient.
Once you understand the hallmark signs and symptoms of all the common medical and traumatic emergencies that we cover in EMS education, your patient assessment and confidence with patient care will improve tremendously. That is why when students join my video vault program, I have included worksheets that help them breakdown signs and symptoms on day one.

I am a high school student and I am a program to get my emt certification, but I will not meet age requirements for emt jobs for another year after graduation, what should I do until I am old enough to get a job in the ems world

If you can run as a volunteer/student/junior try that on the side while working a filler job. Master A&P and absorb knowledge like a sponge in your free time. Besides this channel I suggest Registered Nurse RN and Ninja Nerd.

If you can get your EMT certification now, I would go for it. Then you can volunteer/study in the meantime until you are 18.
